How Better For The System Of The Beast To Take Hold Than Through Our Fears?

EVERYTHING TOWARD GOD’S PURPOSE!

Jeremiah 29 V11.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Events of today, as have events throughout mankind’s history, are all geared toward the fulfillment of God’s divine word.
Believers in God Almighty the creator of all things, therefore, cannot live in fear when we see these things happening. We do not need to engage in the fear that rules the rest of the world, because we know that these are the things his world told us would happen before he returns.
Lest we forget, our world today has no love for the Lord God Almighty. Those who dare speak his name are ridiculed, mocked and laughed at, in this period of pandemic they ask “where is your God in all of this”? Why are your churches shuttered?
In the very same breadth they, berate the church leaders who dare to open the doors of their churches in order to worship the Lord God.
So this tells us that no matter what the body of Christ does, they will be demonized and mocked by the world.
Their criticisms have nothing to do with anything the body of Christ has done wrong. It is all about their hatred of God.

In the days of Noah, the world was desperately wicked, the Bible said in Matthew 24:37 – 39 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark.
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
This time will be different though, the lord God has promised that he will not destroy the earth with water but that he will cleanse the earth with fire.
Genesis 9 v 11, I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

Whatever the origin of this pandemic, it is important to understand that it will be used as a means to further erode the rights of citizens worldwide.
The Globalists are intent on a system of one world order. One world Government run by the global Satanists.
What better way to get people to allow the government to force them into their homes than through fear of being infected with a deadly virus?
What better way to get people to give the government the go-ahead to give them a vaccine to save them from potential death?
And in the precedent of government in not allowing a crisis to go unexploited, what better time to implant their nanochips into your babies and into your bodies under the guise that they are doing so to track your progress or to ensure that you already got their vaccine?
The interesting thing at the moment, is that people are literally begging to be locked into their homes.
People are literally begging to be tested, and yes many are begging to receive a vaccine, even though there isn’t a vaccine ready to treat COVID-19.

Revelation 13: vs 16 – 18 16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

It is easy to see how those who come as if they are saviors helping the cause are the ones who are at the tip of the spear in moving this world into this one world order.
Ask yourselves this question, “what exactly is Bill Gate’s interest in this”?
People open your eyes .….……
As global markets begin to fail as a process of economic inactivity, look for the push fora new global currency. Look for them to tell you that you need to have their vaccine.
Look for them to tell you that in order for you to be allowed to function they will need to implant a digital tattoo into your body.

Of Prison Corruption, Denied Appeals & INDECOM

THE APPEALS PROCESS

The court of appeals has ruled to reaffirm the decision of the trial court in the case of dancehall DJ, Adidjah Palmer, otherwise knowns as Vybz Kartel, and the two accused who were convicted along with him.
Attorneys representing the trio, President of the Senate Tom Tavares Finson, Valerie Neita-Robertson, Bert Samuels, & Oswett Smith are all disappointed in the decision of the court.
It is natural for the defense attorney’s to feign anger or surprise, or both, when they do not get their desired outcomes.
And so Finson was outraged at the length of time it took for the court to arrive at the verdict it did.
This is a travesty, it is unprecedented and it is outrageous … and the Privy Council will no doubt have something to say about that,” Finson told local journalists.

In December of 2019, Finson, wrote to the court with a view to finding out when a decision would be made in the case. At the time 18-months had passed without a decision.
One day before the verdict of the appellate court was handed down, I too wondered why this decision took the time it did.
As far as we know there has been no answer to that question, but it is important to reconcile that the decision of the court was a unanimous one by the panel of three judges.
The defense attorneys say they fully expected to go to the privy council, the final court of appeals based in London.
The main accused Palmer is a man of means so I’m sure attorneys are not constrained about the length to which they will go to get their way.
It is difficult however to see how they will receive the outcomes t they are hoping for in a criminal trial when in which they are not making arguments of unconstitutional actions against their clients.
We’ll see.….….

INCARCERATION

In recent times information came to the fore that Kartel has continued his recording career from behind bars. People close to the convicted murderer have sought to downplay those claims and have argued that he had a portfolio of unreleased music that is just now being released.
But critics are not so sure, they adamantly claim that issues the artist talks about were not around at the time he was incarcerated.
More recently he was alleged to have used a cellphone from his cell to record and make an instagram post.
After an outcry in which many claimed that Kartel is receiving special treatment as a former star, a search of his cell was allegedly carried out and items of contraband were allegedly found in his cell.

I am just as hung-ho as anyone when it comes to criminals paying their debt to society. I am also all for there to be no special treatment meted out to any convicted person, particularly persons convicted for committing violent crimes.
On the other hand, however, if I was doing life and (a) I had the resources to be able to acquire some of the trappings freedom allows, and (b) there are corrupt officials willing to acquiesce to my demands for a price I would certainly want to have those trappings freedom allows.
The reality is that even though we may feel one way or the other about convicted criminals, we should not direct our anger at the people who are locked up but at the public officials who corruptly sell their dignity whether for a few dollars or because they are star-struck.
Wherever there are opportunities for rewards there will be people willing to take advantage. It is for that reason that incidents like the aforementioned persist in Kartel’s, it is for those same reasons they persist wherever there are prisons and jails the world over.

Opposition spokesperson on Justice, Donna Scott Mottley

REMEDIATING THE BREACHES

It is for those reasons that I am fully in agreement with the Opposition spokesperson on Justice, Donna Scott Mottley who has called for a thorough investigation into the actions of correctional officers monitoring incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel, following a recent seizure of contraband from his cell.
Where I disagree with her is that there should be an investigation involving those monitoring Kartel. The system just does not work that way, sure there should be an investigation in this incident but it should not be about any individual inmate.
It is common knowledge that there is widespread corruption in all of the government’s services, the department of corrections is no exception.
Nevertheless, the head of the department should be hauled before a House committee to explain what is being done about contraband entering the nation’s prisons.
It is not aways corruption that allows for these breaches, incompetence plays a part, and sometimes a shortage of officers may allow for breaches to occur.
Nevertheless, the commissioner should be brought in to explain what step is being taken to remediate this issue and if he cannot stop the breeches he should be shown the door.

Lt Colonel Gary Rowe is new Commissioner of Corrections
Rowe

Last year the commissioner of corrections Ina Hunter was essentially demoted and transferred to the post of Chief Programme Officer in the Ministry of national security.
Lt Colonel Gary Rowe a veteran officer of 32-years was appointed to the post.
You may have missed the obvious, but as far as positions of power go, this administration in power, is of the view that past officers of the (JDF) Jamaica Defence Force, are a panacea to all of the nation’s problems. (See the commissioner of police, et-al)
Because this perception has been created and foisted upon our collective intellect, it is prudent to point out that not only have they not done better at whatever positions they have been elevated to, in many cases the data shows that they have done exponentially worse than others before them.
Notwithstanding, the lie seems to have taken hold and so there is no outcry when they fail. The general consensus seems to be that if they fail then no one could have done better.
This mindset is prevalent even among those who ought to know better.
It is arguably the reason that there is no call for firing the commissioner of corrections in this matter. In fact, there has been nothing but silence on all fronts.
Oh, and while we are on the subject, violent crime continues to escalate and there is no outcry, no demand to change the commissioner of police.
Because as you know he is from the army, if he cannot fix the problem it cannot be fixed.[sarcasm]
Such blind idiocy is the reason we are at a standstill, spinning our wheels as a nation.

Terrence Williams

Which brings me to the final thought. The job of the oversight agency INDECOM we were told is to investigate incidents of abuse by the security forces.
Withing its mandate is the JCF, JDF, & corrections departments.
It seems, however, that between demonizing the police and crying like a little bitch, there is no time left for the little power-hungry turd of an INDECOM commissioner Terrence Williams, to actually do something for the huge salary he is receiving.
He found time to complain just days ago, that the government did not give him and his bunch of do-nothing cronies, exclusion from the list of exempted organizations under the new curfew order.
In a letter to the minister of national security, the little Napoleonic narcissist bitched that, “citizen reassurance across all sectors is critical, especially during times of a global crisis such as this COVID-19 virus. Curfew impositions are necessary and fully understood, but INDECOM’s remit also provides community reassurance in this difficult time where the risk of citizens’ rights are further limited”.

In what is now a global pandemic, one in which we have no idea when we will reach a plateau, this crazed power-hungry, self-absorbed man wants everything to be about him.
At a time when the security forces in country after country, are struggling to get citizens to stay off the streets, Terrence Williams wants to be on the streets getting in the way of the police.
Because if the media isn’t taking about Terrence Williams, he has to find a way to inject himself into the narrative for his personal relevance.
You simply cannot make this up.

Angry Bus Driver Who Complained About Coughing Passenger Dies From COVID-19

Jason Hargrove, a city bus driver from Detroit who posted a video on social media angrily complaining about one of his passengers who was coughing without covering her mouth, has sadly died from COVID-19. He was only 50-years old.
Hargrove’s video was posted on his Facebook page just about two weeks ago. In the video, he talks about a woman who rode his bus and apparently did not care and was not taking the pandemic seriously enough because she repeatedly coughed without covering her mouth.
During his 8‑minute video, he is heard saying: “We out here as public workers, doing our jobs, trying to make an honest living to take care of our families, but for you to get on the bus and stand on the bus and cough several times without covering up your mouth … that lets me know that some folks don’t care. Utterly don’t give a f — , excuse my language.”

Just 4 days after recording and posting that video, Hargrove himself began to feel sick and sadly passed away late Wednesday night.
Mike Duggan, the Mayor of Detroit, made a public announcement saying “everybody in America” should watch Hargrove’s video.
Duggan commented, “He was infected before we closed the front doors [on buses]. Some of his language is graphic, but I don’t know how you can watch it and not tear up. He knew his life was being put in jeopardy… by someone who didn’t take this seriously and now he’s gone.”
It remains unclear if Hargrove contracted the illness from the specific passenger that he referenced in the video.

Trump To Send More Warships

By Sean Douglas

Hours after this country’s prime minister on Wednesday insisted a visit last weekend by Venezuela’s Vice President had nothing to do with the US indicting Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro for narco-terrorism, came word that US President Donald Trump was going to double the presence of US warships in the Southern Caribbean. “Today, the United States is launching enhanced counter-narcotics operations in the Western Hemisphere to protect the American people from the deadly scourge of illegal narcotics,” Trump told a news conference in Washington on Wednesday.

Saying the US was cooperating with 22 partner nations, to interdict illicit drug shipments, he said, “We’re deploying additional Navy destroyers, combat ships, aircraft and helicopters, Coast Guard cutters and Air Force surveillance aircraft, doubling our capabilities in the region,” Venezuela’s economy has been hit by low-oil prices plus US sanctions over alleged election-rigging, all this, sending thousands fleeing abroad including to TT, even as covid19 now adds more uncertainty.

Appeals Court Reaffirms Guilty Verdict In Kartel Murder Case…

The court of appeals has issued its verdict in the Vybz Kartel murder case: The three-judge panel reaffirmed the decision of guilt the trial court handed down to the three accused murderers in 2011.
We applaud the decision of the court not to interfere with the just decision of the trial court, or to be blinded by status, or an ignorant, hedonistic idolatrous pop-culture in its decision making.
By allowing this verdict of guilt to stand, it gives law-abiding Jamaicans hope. Hope that all is not lost. That even though our country faces grave danger from anarchists, we have the ability to pull back from the edge of the abyss, one step at a time, using the rule of law as our pointer.

Vybz Kartel Targeted By Scammers | | yardhype.com

The appellate court did not hand down a ruling as to whether the [sentence] handed down by the trial judge will stand or be reduced.
The court asserts that the trio’s defense team can make a submission for a reduced sentence if they chose to.
This is a standard protocol for appellate courts to respond this way.
On the other hand, the defense team of the trio of murderers, now have to contend with the dual scenario of whether to (a) seek redress from the Privy Council in England, which is the final court of appeals, with no new evidence or information of investigative, prosecutorial or judicial misconduct or mistakes, or (b) to file a motion to the court for a reduced sentence with no new evidence that would go to the mitigation of those sentences.

Actions have consequences, it as about time that the organs of government are stood up to defend the Jamaican constitution, the rule of law and by extension the Jamaican people.
Those who would act contrary to, and in defiance of our laws and norms, must be made aware in no uncertain terms, that the consequences of their actions are going to be severe and unequivocal, regardless of who they are or who they know.
And to the segment of the population that is determined to create anarchy and to give support & succor to lawlessness, let this be a lesson to you that a new day is dawning, you will be made to respect the laws of our country.
This writer salutes the court for looking at the evidence and making a decision that is in line with the law.
And most of all “letting the decision stand” [stare decisis]

20 People Test Positive For Coronavirus After Attending Funerals; Pastor Who Gave Eulogy Dies

A local Black-owned funeral home in Albany, Georgia, is shocked to learn they unknowingly hosted two funerals that reportedly infected at least 20 people with coronavirus including the pastor who delivered one of the eulogies. Sadly, that pastor has since died from COVID-19.

Local health officials say that the outbreak began shortly after the funerals for 64-year old retired janitor Andrew J. Mitchell and another unnamed man. Both funerals were attended by their relatives and friends, and at least one person who attended was infected causing others to also become infected. As of Wednesday afternoon, there are at least 490 confirmed coronavirus cases and at least 29 coronavirus-related deaths reported in Dougherty County, which is home to Albany, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

It took one person, whoever that was, and there was no intent,” Scott Steiner, CEO of Albany’s largest hospital told CNN. “It shows this virus can quickly spread.”
The Georgia Department of Health confirmed that the virus spread among “individuals who attended a number of events in Albany.” The department added, however, that it is not yet 100% clear “where or with whom it all started.”
Mitchell’s 75-year old long-time partner Emell Murray was one of those infected with the coronavirus. She was hospitalized for fever and high blood pressure a few days after Mitchell’s funeral.

So how did all this start?

Authorities have reportedly traced the townwide outbreak to a 67-year old man who traveled from Atlanta to attend one of the funerals. He reported being sick, and was hospitalized in Albany. “The next day it’s when we began seeing people coming to our emergency room who were sick,” Steiner said. “Two (people) the first day, six the next day, eight the next day, and it just began to cascade from that point.”

A statement from the funeral home and the governor

The Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, which hosted the two funerals on February 29 and March 7 respectively, released a statement after they were notified by the health department officials of the possible spread of the virus on March 13.
“Although we have been identified as a common factor in the tracking of the COVID-19 in Albany, know that we are operating within all regulatory safety or health guidelines,” the funeral home directors wrote in a Facebook post. “We know that there is a growing concern across the city. We are taking extra precautions to protect you, our staff and the communities we serve.”

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp expressed his concern about the rapid increase of coronavirus cases in Albany in a press conference, citing the importance of complying with the stay-at-home order in the state.
“I believe there was a funeral service weeks ago where an infected person went, and it created this whole epicenter which just exploded down there,” Kemp said. “That’s one of the reasons we have been begging people to not have — and I know it’s a hard thing — religious services.”

Kartel Appeals Verdict, A Stress-test On An Already Suspect Justice System…

After an inordinately long time considering the Vybz Kartel appeals, the court of appeals has indicated to the lawyers of Kartel and his two co-accused that a verdict is forthcoming at 9:00 am Friday, April 3rd.
Vybz Kartel, Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John were found guilty of murder in relation to the killing of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams in 2011.
The Appeals court has been considering this case for approximately 21 months, which gives rise to questions as to what could have caused this appeals process to be taking this long.
In December of 2019, lead defense lawyer for Kartel, Queen’s Counsel, Tom Tavares Finson, wrote to the court with a view to finding out when a decision would be made in the case.
The court wrote to Finson that the three-judge panel’s decision of his client’s murder conviction was at an advanced stage.
We are in a new year and into the fourth month, finally, the court has indicated that a verdict will be forthcoming.
But this writer can not feel confident in the process of justice one way or the other when (a) this high profile appeals process has taken so long, & (b) given the past liberal history of the court.
The question on my mind is why has it taken so long for this panel to reach a decision in a case that has already been heard by a competent jurist, the now-retired Justice Lennox Campbell?

No Jamaican who believes in the process of justice and fairness should feel any degree of comfort that this court is deliberating this case.
The court of appeals has a history of upending perfectly decided cases and throwing out the convictions of dangerous murderers on the flimsiest of allegations of investigative, prosecutorial, or judicial imperfection.
That is never how the system was supposed to work.
As a police officer involved in serious cases, I saw all too well how powerful people with money were able to have the verdict they wanted at the appeals court level.
I have seen up close how money and good lawyers can make miracles happen and perfectly decided cases are dismissed on the most flimsy and fraudulent of allegations of impropriety or mistake.
The appeals courts process does not consider the murdered or the otherwise aggrieved victims, or the heinous crimes perpetrated on them by the Island’s vicious murderers.
All that seems to matter to the Islands appeals process is that there is maintained a purist standard that considers only the convicted criminal, regardless of the heinous nature of the crimes they have been convicted on.

Just today I spoke to a process within the criminal justice system on a social media platform, that process is known as {stare decisis.} [In in the interest of full disclosure I am not a lawyer].
Stare decisis is a legal doctrine that obligates courts to follow historical cases when making a ruling on a similar case. Stare decisis ensures that cases with similar scenarios and facts are approached in the same way. Simply put, it binds courts to follow legal precedents set by previous decisions.
[Stare decisis] is a Latin term meaning “to stand by that which is decided.“
Before I go on I am obligated to also say that I have no evidence one way or the other as to the guilt or innocence of either or all of the three convicted murderers.
Additionally, regardless of how horrible a person may be, no person should be convicted wrongfully for a crime he or she did not commit.
On the other hand, it is a gross miscarriage of justice, when a court at whatever level, allows convicted criminals to walk free because of minor technicalities which do not detract from the body of evidence that was presented at trial, or worse, because they have been corruptly compromised.
Jamaica’s court of appeal has been known time and again to ignore the established doctrine of stare decisis and overturn the trial court’s findings.
In some instances, the court went out of its way to allow newly manufactured evidence into the appeals process, none of which was at the trial stage.
The case of Kartel and his two cronies also saw the appeals court allow in new evidence from the defense that was not at the trial 9 years ago.
An appeals court has no duty to interfere with a verdict that was arrived at fairly, justly and without malfeasance.
An appeals court should let stand a verdict unless there is new substantiated evidence of investigative, prosecutorial, or judicial misconduct.
A verdict arrived at without those bullet points should not be interfered with by an appellate court.

The appeals court has a duty to the nation, not to popular culture, not to demigods, not to trail lawyers, but to the rule of law, to make a reasoned decision that even if there are minor imperfections in the prosecution’s case they do not rise to enough to change the verdict.
An acquittal would basically set up the state to eventually pay out tens, potentially hundreds of millions of dollars to three murder convicts.
A retrial of this case would also be the same as an acquittal as there is no way they would convict these convicted murderers 9‑years later using the same evidence and witnesses.
Literally, every demigod that has been removed from the streets has been removed either by police bullets, street justice, or by the United States.
The court system has been an abysmal failure when it comes to prosecuting, convicting, and retaining the convictions of the very few it manages to convict, precisely because of the vast liberalism at the appellate level.
This failure has turned our country into one of the most violent countries on earth. Violent murderers have very little regard for the process. They have no fear that the system has the guts or the integrity to convict them, and when convinced, they are comfortable they will be able to buy the outcomes they desire.

UPDATED

The court of appeals has issued its verdict: The three-judge panel reaffirmed the decision of guilt the trial court handed down to the three accused murderers in 2011.
We applaud the decision of the court not to interfere with the just decision of the trial court, or to be blinded by status or pop-culture in its decision making.
By allowing this verdict of guilt to stand, it gives law-abiding Jamaicans hope, that all is not lost. That even though our country faces grave danger from anarchists, we have the ability to pull back from the edge of the abyss, one step at a time, using the rule of law.

42-Year Old Mother Of Four Dies From Coronavirus Complications

Detroit, MI — Laneeka Barksdale, a 42-year old mother from Michigan with four children, has reportedly died from the coronavirus after being sick for two weeks and fighting for her life in the hospital.

Barksdale, who is lovingly known as Nikki to her family, was taken to the hospital when she had symptoms of COVID-19. With her underlying asthma, Barksdale experienced more severe conditions.

They induced a coma maybe her second day in the hospital to see if they could give her lungs a bit of a break from overworking,” her brother Omari Barksdale told Fox News Detroit. “They brought her out of the coma, when she came out, she still wasn’t able to process enough oxygen.”

The doctors still tried to keep her oxygen level by heavily sedating her, but her temperature remained at 102 degrees. She sadly died on March 23 due to the complications of the coronavirus.

Michigan is one of the states with the highest number of cases in the US. Currently, the number of confirmed cases are more than 9,300, at least 337 people have died, and the numbers are still increasing.

Omari remembered his sister as his “protector” and he was brokenhearted that he couldn’t do enough to protect his sister now. He is appealing to all people to adhere to the authorities’ guidelines to help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.

This is the most serious thing we’ve faced as a world in anybody’s lifetime that’s alive right now,” he said. “The implications of it are too vast to take lightly.”

What Is A Pandemic?

Pandemics are states of disease that sharply increase in populations around the world with infections taking place more or less simultaneously.
While it usually refers to infectious diseases, such as plague or influenza, it is often used to refer to other health conditions including cancer, obesity, and even addiction.
Pathogen transmission through a population is typically covered by five general descriptions.
An endemic infection is one that remains relatively stable over time, infecting an expected number of hosts in ways that are usually fairly well understood. The parasite schistosomiasis, for example, can cause serious infections, but is usually contained within tropical regions in numbers that don’t vary much from year to year.

An outbreak describes a sudden spike in transmissions in a localized region. For example, in 2019 the Democratic Republic of the Congo saw a steep rise in people contracting the Ebola virus in the nation’s east. While the World Health Organisation (WHO) viewed it as a public health emergency, its containment meant it wasn’t an epidemic.
Widespread outbreaks across wider regions tend to be regarded as epidemics. The spread of Ebola across Western Africa between 2013 and 2016 is often described using the word epidemic.
Once the epidemic has proven to be capable of moving around the world in a way that sustains widespread, ongoing infections, it can be regarded as a pandemic.

When does an epidemic officially become a pandemic?

In 2009, a new kind of influenza A virus known as H1N1 emerged in an outbreak in the United States. It quickly spread, and was defined by the WHO as a pandemic based on a formal process that took into account the precise nature of the countries where an infection was diagnosed.
As infections from the 2019-coV coronavirus continued to spread in early 2020, the WHO declared that they no longer use a formal classification to designate when an epidemic becomes a pandemic.
Concerned premature use of the term could cause panic, officials instead described the global epidemic as having “pandemic potential”, while claiming that they weren’t yet observing the “uncontained global spread” of the virus. From (sciencealert.com)

Two Sisters From Illinois Died Just 9 Days Apart From Coronavirus

When Patricia started having difficulties breathing, her family didn’t think it was that serious. Until she tested positive with COVID-19 and eventually died on March 16.

Unfortunately, on that same day, her family also found out that Wanda, her older sister, was taken to the ER due to cough. She died of pneumonia due to COVID-19 as well on March 25.

Their family is yet been to understand why out of all the 9 siblings, Wanda was the one who got infected even though she has always stayed at home. But at one time, Patricia and Wanda apparently attended church together.

Moreover, their family is particularly grieving with the fact that they weren’t able to give the two sisters a final goodbye because of the necessary procedures in an infectious disease death.

The toughest part about my sisters’ death is that they had to die alone in the hospital,” Frieson told CNN. “It’s just devastating to us that we couldn’t go to see them in their last moments.”

Currently, there are a total of more than 5,000 known cases of coronavirus in Illinois and 73 deaths.

Black Mom With Coronavirus Told She Wasn’t Priority, Dies The Next Day

London, England — Kayla Williams, a 36-year old mother of 3 from London who was reportedly infected with the coronavirus, has died a day after she called emergency services and was told that she could not be admitted to a hospital because she was not a “priority”.
Her husband Fabian Williams, a 49-year old garbage collector, called emergency services when she suffered from cough, high fever, and severe chest and stomach pains. He followed what the call operator instructed him while he waited for the medical help to arrive.
When the paramedics arrived, she carried out some tests. Documents confirmed that she was treated as a suspected Covid-19 case. However, she was left at the apartment and was not taken to the hospital because she was told that she is not a priority.
The morning after, Fabian helped her eat and get dressed but her condition still continued to worsen. He rested for a while and when he came back to her, she was slumping head down.
“She was already dead. I put her on the ground — because that is what they had told me to do before — and I rang 999 again and they told me to put my hand on her chest and pump her chest,” he recounted to The Guardian.

Police officers eventually came to their apartment but refused to get in. Funeral service officials, who were wearing full forensic suits, arrived next and did all the procedures required in an infectious disease death.
Fabian said that what left him appalled is that what was happening wasn’t explained to him. He was only ordered to stay home or isolate and nothing else.
Meanwhile, the ambulance service confirmed in a statement that Kayla was suffering from symptoms of the coronavirus but was advised “self-care, use antipyretics, increase food/fluid” and quarantine from her family.
A lot of people expressed their disappointment with the paramedics saying that she wasn’t a priority.
“This tragedy would almost certainly not have had Kayla Williams not been a black woman,” one said. “It is less well documented than in the US, but black women in the UK also face similar structural obstacles to receiving adequate healthcare.”
“The news of the death of Kayla Williams is so heavy this evening,” another wrote. “Black women being told we are “not priorities” during a global health pandemic whilst members of the celebrity class and Royal family have immediate, round the clock access to testing and healthcare. No words.”

Tragedies Are Opportunities For Reflection And Rebirth…

A while back I was asked to deliver a short address to a small group of people including a few local public officials. It was around the time that Haiti was devastated by the terrible earthquake, taking the lives of tens of thousands of Haitians in the process.
One of the issues that were center stage at the time was how best to get resources to the people who needed them the most.
There were many ideas during the time as to how best to execute getting critical much-needed food, medicine & equipment for shelter to the suffering people.
I thought about the ideas a lot but the one component that seemed to be the problem solver was not mentioned at all.
It was the four-letter word “LOVE”.

Well-intentioned people can give all of the money, food, and equipment needed in a time of crisis, but as long as there is no love in the heart of those handling the efforts, all those resources generally end up in the wrong hands, and with money pouring from it into the wrong pockets.
Those who remember those events may attest to just how badly those resources were handled after that earthquake.

Today we are faced with a crisis of a different nature. This time, it is not one country facing a crisis while everyone else looks on.
This time it is a crisis where all of us are at risk, all of us are vulnerable.
There are no those people over there.
We are all God’s people facing a crisis together.
Given our instincts to immediately default to panic, this pandemic offers an opportunity for introspection, an opportunity for demonstrating love & caring toward each other.
This time the victims are not hundreds or thousands of miles away, they are all around us, we are the victims, we are all at risk.
As tragic as the deaths and the horror stories are, they offer us the unique opportunity to be of help to our neighbors. No deed is too small to matter in times of crisis.

Booming after the blast | Inquirer Business

Not all of us will emerge on the other side of this, nevertheless, when this shall have ended, there will be books written about the tremendous opportunities for the rebirth this pandemic offered. They will talk about those who took advantage of those opportunities.
Out of the sulphuric ashes and lava spilled from an angry volcano, rises a beautiful forest filled with life and promise.
How we emerge from this event may depend on how we treat each other.
Whether we survive or thrive may depend on whether we panic or we fall back and see the hand of God in every event.

13 People Died At This NYC Hospital Within 24 Hours

New York, NY — In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Elmhurst Hospital in New York City is reportedly at a breaking point after 13 people died there within a 24-hour period.

Elmhurst is at the center of this crisis,” said Christopher Miller, a spokesman for the city public hospital systems said in a statement, according to New York Post. “It’s the number one priority of our public hospital system right now.”

Staff are doing everything in our power to save every person who contracts COVID-19. But unfortunately, this virus continues to take an especially terrible toll on the elderly and people with preexisting conditions,” he added.

According to hospital officials, the 545-bed hospital is currently functioning at over 125% capacity, compared to its usual 80% capacity rate. The hospital has been in desperate need of protective equipment and supplies as well.

An ER nurse described the situation at the hospital as a “war zone,” saying that people have lined up outside the hospital, mostly to get tested for COVID-19. Some patients died inside the ER without having been able to be treated.

At least 25 staffers from other hospitals were added to Elmhurst in a 24-hour span. Ventilators and 10,000 face masks were recently provided to the hospital, but a lot more is needed to continuously provide the overwhelming increase of people infected with the coronavirus.

Recent reports confirmed there are a total of 20,011 positive cases of coronavirus in New York City and 280 people have died.

Elmhurst staffers on the front lines are “doing a tremendous job with limited resources they have,” said City Councilman Francisco Moya. But because the hospital is “at a critical stage,” he said that “the relief has to be there for the doctors and nurses. And quickly.”

43-Year Old Black Entrepreneur Sadly Dies From Coronavirus

Marlowe Stoudamire, a well-known entrepreneur from Detroit, has reportedly died from complications related to coronavirus at the age of 43. His colleagues and people across the city are mourning the death of the transformational leader who was considered “a light to the city

The prominent consultant and entrepreneur was the first one to be publicly identified of the 24 persons in Michigan that died from the virus. He had no known underlying health condition or recent travel history, according to The Detroit News.
He died on March 24 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, said Henry Ford Health System COO Bob Riney, speaking on behalf of Stoudamire’s family. Stoudamire is survived by his wife, Valencia, and two young children.

He is best known for serving as the project director of the award-winning Detroit 67 exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum, a project that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Detroit Uprising in 1967.
Stoudamire has also left behind a significant legacy in helping develop several strategic initiatives in Detroit City. He has worked with big companies and organizations such as JP Morgan Chase, Pepsi, National Hockey League, Wayne State University, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Skillman Foundation.

Moreover, he served as project director of international business strategy at Henry Ford Health System. He also founded the integrated marketing and business strategies firm Roster Detroit and Butterfly Effect Detroit.

36-Year Old School Principal From Brooklyn Dies From Coronavirus 1.65k Share Tweet Pin Mail

Nationwide — Dez-Ann Romain, the 36-year old principal of the Brooklyn Democracy Academy in New York City has died from coronavirus complications. Reportedly, she is the first city public school employee to contract and die from COVID-19.

The academy is a transfer school for over-age/under-credited students, located in the Brooklyn borough. According to her colleagues, Romain was a dedicated community servant that “gave her entire self” to the school and the entire community “and it did not matter how incredibly complex a problem was.”

She was known to regularly stop and talk to every student that she passed in the hallways in between classes. Also, back in March 2019, she was honored by Brooklyn’s Borough President Eric Adams for her enormous contribution to the community, culture, and education.

The Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA) issued a public statement saying: “It is with profound sadness and overwhelming grief that we announce the passing of our sister, CSA member Dezann Romain, Principal of Brooklyn Democracy Academy, due to complications from Coronavirus. Our prayers are with her family and school community as we mourn alongside them. Please keep Principal Romain in your thoughts and continue to do everything possible to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe during this health crisis.”(bn.com)

Oprah Reveals Stedman Is Self Quarantining In The Guesthouse

The coronavirus pandemic has the world on pause and celebrities are included in the swift lifestyle changes. On Monday, Oprah Winfrey revealed that she and longtime partner Stedman Graham are taking the coronavirus mandates seriously. While sharing her quarantine habits during an Instagram live session with OprahMag.com Digital Director Arianna Davis, Winfrey said Stedman has been quarantined in their guest house since returning from out-of-town.
Due to his recent travels and her health conditions, the pair sees it best to remain in separate quarters for the time being.
“’ I don’t see what everybody’s getting so upset about!’ That’s what Stedman was saying…and that’s why Stedman’s at the guest house!” she said.

Winfrey admits that initially, Graham did not take the threat of coronavirus seriously. During his travels, he flew on multiple flights and hit multiple airports. Due to the social distancing mandates, Winfrey decided to follow procedures immediately upon his return. Despite his prior thoughts and opinions on the pandemic, Stedman gladly agreed to quarantine for Winfrey’s safety. “Stedman did not arrive from Chicago until Thursday, he had been speaking in St. Louis…he’d been on planes, so Stedman is like ‘What’s the procedure for coming home?’ The procedure is…you ain’t coming and sleeping in my bed!” Winfrey said.

And literally, he goes, ‘I’m not?’ And I go, ‘Have you not been paying attention to the news? Social distancing does not mean you go and sleep in the same bed with the person! When you just got off American Airlines!’” Winfrey wanted to make it clear that Stedman does not have the coronavirus or display any symptoms. The quarantine is a precautionary effort in case Stedman became unknowingly exposed to the virus. She cites her compromised respiratory system as a cause for concern. Last year, Winfrey came down with pneumonia for which she just ended her course of antibiotics last week. While in quarantine, Winfrey and her girls drop off meals to Stedman daily and visit the guest house to chat from a safe distance. Although Stedman is locked down in the guest house, Winfrey said she’s remained busy. She has been enjoying television shows with her girls, reading books from Oprah’s Book Club and staying entertained with social media. She even made tequila shots for DJ D‑Nice’s virtual party hosted on Instagram live. This story originated @the grio.com.

5 Confirmed Cases Of African Americans Who Died From Coronavirus

Nationwide — Many from urban communities initially believed that Black people were immune to the coronavirus. This was obviously false information, partly due to the media’s bias in their reporting. Not only can Black people contract the COVID-19 virus, but many are also dying from it. Many have died already, but here are just five confirmed cases:

#1 – Larry Edgeworth: a 61-year old long-time employee of NBC News. According to CNN, he worked in an equipment room at the company’s headquarters in New York City, also suffered from other health issues.

#2 – Oliver Stokes Jr.: a 50-year old man from New Orleans who was best known as Go DJ Black N Mild. He worked as a DJ in Houston for KHOU, and also spun bounce records for New Orleans AM station WBOK. According to People, he was initially diagnosed with pneumonia.

#3 – Patricia Frieson: a 61-year old retired nurse from Chicago who had a history of respiratory issues which including severe asthma. NBC Chicago reports that she contracted the virus at a nursing home.

#4 – Tre Wiser: a 32-year old family man reportedly from San Diego. He was a father, husband, son, and uncle. He reportedly contracted the virus from someone he knew who also was infected.

#5 – Alvin Simmons: a 54-year old from Rochester, New York. He reportedly had hypertension and liver disease, and was initially diagnosed with pneumonia. After being given antibiotics, he vomited blood, had a stroke, and later tested positive for coronavirus according to ABC 13 News.

For the best information about the virus pandemic, please follow the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) or call the National Coronavirus Helpline at (888) 581‑5029.
