Despite The Drubbing It Received Over Two Cycles The PNP Is Still Clueless

Socialism, as a political construct, has been a failure across the Globe, save and except for the Scandinavian region of Europe that practices a kind of pseudo-socialism in their almost homogenously white societies.
The socialism that they practice, guarantees everyone a comfortable standard of living, with the understanding that they pay a much higher rate of taxation.
Note: the socialism they practice is not the ideological, beret-wearing fist thrusting revolutionary style socialism that the PNP continues to offer to the Jamaican people.
It is noteworthy, that those societies were already independently wealthy nations, some of which had conquered parts of Africa and plundered its resources. So their societies were already well established, infrastructurally and otherwise.
In Jamaica’s case, the country can hardly find resources to pay its workers after debt servicing, much less to put in place lasting infrastructure.

Speaking about the damage done to the roads as a result of tropical storm Zeta, Prime Minister Holness told Parliament on Tuesday night that the funds being reallocated to repair roadways are not additional funding “as we have already gone through the second supplementary estimates and, therefore, there is no additional funding for the government’s response.
This is now about each ministry, each minister, each permanent secretary, going through their budget, line item by line item, to see what it is that we can reallocate, and this will be supervised by the Ministry of Finance,” Holness told legislators.

The drubbing the PNP suffered at the polls over the last two election cycles, along with the losses they sustained in the by-elections, would be a wake-up call to a serious political party that understands polling data and trends.
Unfortunately, the party fails to see that the younger generation is more interested in a market economy that allows them to shine on their own.
Young people see how other millennials and generation Xers are living in other countries and they want that lifestyle.….…
They do not want a political party that is offering them freebies that they know it cannot deliver anyway.

Jamaicans do not want Socialism/Communism, China, Russia, and most of the Eastern European nations that had subscribed to that political ideology have moved their economies away from that failed construct since the fall of the Soviet Union.
It is shocking that in 2020 almost three decades since Michael Manley took Jamaica down the rabbit hole of Democratic Socialism, that these washed up idiots are still expecting Jamaicans to vote for them and their failed ideology that people all around the world have long eschew, except for China, Cuba, North Korea, and Belarus to a certain extent.

The Next Time Some Newly Awakened Black Tells You Not To Vote…

It is the final stretch in an election cycle that truly lives up to the old cliché’,” this is the most important election of our lifetime.” As America teeters on the brink of dictatorship under the thumb of a wannabe strongman, voting takes on new and more urgent significance.
Speaking to African-Americans voters who may be considering not voting, some person told you he or she wasn’t going to vote because they are getting nothing for their vote.
Stop and take stock of your life.
Your vote influences everything you touch, the air you breathe, or whether you are allowed to continue breathing.

The quality of the food you eat, healthcare, the goods and services you receive in your communities, the schools your children are allowed to attend.
Everything in our lives is touched and influenced by politics. If your vote was not important, ask yourselves, why have they fought so hard to stop you from winning suffrage? And now that so many have died to give it to you, why do you think Republicans are fighting so hard to take it away from you?
As I thought about writing this article, I also thought that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I decided to show you some of the things Black people endured to get the right to vote.
If you do not care about what I have to say, I hope you care about what these images convey.

Selma civil rights march, the late John Lewis being beaten by a white cop

There was much cause for celebration with the passage of the Voting Rights Act. However, the struggle was and is not over. (Kheel Center Archives.)

In 1919 Blacks were cornered and set upon by white thugs who murdered them. 1919 was particularly difficult for blacks in America.

This photograph by Warren Leffler shows African-American demonstrators outside the White House, with signs reading, “We demand the right to vote, everywhere” and protesting police brutality against civil rights demonstrators in Selma, Alabama. On August 6, 1965, U.S…

Civil rights activists risked life and limb to change America; not much has changed since these images were first recorded.

They love to talk about Democracy. Where is Democracy? Voter suppression has been around since the civil war to today.

Sadly nothing has changed, but the rest of the world must get to see what has really been going on despite the pontificating and bullying of other nations…

Young people stepped forward and offered themselves up in the fight to win the right to vote.

They did not give you the right to vote, so why would you allow them to take it away from you? The right to vote was won with our ancestor’s blood; you should defend it with that thought in mind. Worse yet, why would you surrender such a sacred, right?

The late John Lewis and countless others were brutalized by thugs in uniform then; Blacks are brutalized by thugs in uniform now.

And oh by the way.……lest you forget…

If you are offended by the imagery, do not blame me, I am only the messenger; this is what they did to us…

It is still happening today.

This happened in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a crowd of savages salivated at killing a human being.

Fighting for voting rights in the Jim Crow south

Those who went on before us did not give up; they fought, and they persevered. You have no right to squander or mishandle what they bled and died for…

Voting is a manifestation of self-autonomy, of citizenship, it as a vehicle to self-determination. When you decide not to vote, by default, you cede your right to self-determination and self-autonomy.
That means you give others the right to determine everything for you, how your children’s schools are funded, whether police are allowed to murder your children without consequence, you give up the right to demand clean air, clean drinking water, and safe neighborhoods.
When you cede that authority to people who have fought tooth and nail for hundreds of years to keep you subjugated, do you think that they will have a change of heart and suddenly decide to stop oppressing you?
The next time some fool tells you not to vote, tell him or her where to go.

Philadelphia Police’s Fatal Shooting Of Armed Black Man Suffering From Mental Illness Sparks Unrest

Philadelphia police shot and killed a 27-year-old Black man carrying a knife Monday afternoon, prompting angry protests over the killing that turned violent overnight. Police responded to a call that a man, later identified as Walter Wallace Jr., was acting erratically and carrying a knife. When the officers arrived, Wallace, whose father told the Philadelphia Inquirer was on medication for mental health issues, was standing on his front porch with the knife as his family tried to defuse the situation.

When police arrived, one eyewitness said they immediately drew their weapons, and the incident escalated from there“Wallace’s mother chased after him as he walked down the steps of his porch, still holding the knife,” eyewitness Maurice Holloway told the Inquirer. “His mother tried to shield Wallace and tell police he was her son.” “[E]veryone is saying, ‘Don’t shoot him, he’s gonna put it down, we know him,’” Holloway said. The video of the incident shows Wallace’s mother trailing him as he circled around parked cars and back towards the middle of the residential street where the two officers had drawn their weapons. Wallace walked in the direction of the officers as they retreated, when police fired at him. The Philadelphia police department said in a statement that the officers had told Wallace to drop the knife and that he was advancing on the officers. The recording taken by a neighbor dips down at the ground just at the moment of the shooting, but appears to show Wallace still a distance from the officers as about a dozen shots were fired.

Why didn’t they use a Taser?” Wallace’s father said after the shooting. “His mother was trying to defuse the situation.” The city’s mayor said a video taken at the scene of the shooting of Wallace Jr. raised “difficult questions that must be answered.” The city’s police commissioner said there would be an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
On Monday evening, as many as three hundred protesters gathered near the site of the shooting amidst a heavy police presence. Police said 30 cops were injured during clashes with protesters, most of which were from projectiles thrown by protesters. Authorities say a police vehicle was destroyed, looting took place, and more than 30 arrests were made overnight.

Brett Kavanaugh Signals He’s Open To Stealing The Election For Trump

By Mark Joseph Stern.
As the Senate was voting to elevate Amy Coney Barrett to a lifetime position on the Supreme Court on Monday night, the immediate stakes for the entire country were made suddenly clear by a critical election ruling from the court she now joins. On Monday night, Justice Brett Kavanaugh released a radical and brazenly partisan opinion that dashed any hopes he, as the Supreme Court’s new median justice, might slow-walk the court’s impending conservative revolution, while also threatening the integrity of next week’s election. In an 18-page lecture, the justice cast doubt on the legitimacy of many mail ballots and endorsed the most sinister component of Bush v. Gore. America’s new median justice is not a friend to democracy, and we may pay the price for Barrett’s confirmation in just eight days.

Monday’s order from the Supreme Court blocked a federal judge’s order that had tweaked Wisconsin’s voting laws in light of the pandemic. The judge directed election officials to count ballots that were postmarked by Election Day but received by Nov. 9, finding that the unprecedented demand for mail ballots combined with Postal Service delays could disenfranchise up to 100,000 voters. An appeals court blocked his decision on Oct. 8, and on Monday, SCOTUS kept it on hold by a 5 – 3 vote. The court offered no majority opinion, but Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Neil Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh all wrote concurrences. Justice Elena Kagan penned a trenchant dissent joined by Justices Stephen Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor.

Kavanaugh’s opinion is the most notable of the bunch because he is the new median justice and the opinion is frankly terrifying. In one passage, Kavanaugh attempted to defend the Wisconsin law disqualifying ballots received after Election Day. He pointed out that “most States” share this policy, explaining:Those States want to avoid the chaos and suspicions of impropriety that can ensue if thousands of absentee ballots flow in after election day and potentially flip the results of an election. And those States also want to be able to definitively announce the results of the election on election night, or as soon as possible thereafter.

What I Do About Slavery, And The Colored Race, I Do Because I Believe It Helps To Save The Union…

YouTube player

Donald Trump told Police to abuse the people they are arresting, in a speech delivered on New York’s Long Island in 2017.
Talking to a bunch of cheering cops, he said Quote; When you guys put somebody in the car, and you’re protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over?” Trump said, miming an officer’s physical motion shielding a suspect’s head to keep it from bumping against the squad car.
“Like, don’t hit their head, and they just killed somebody — don’t hit their head,” Trump continued. “I said, you can take the hand away, okay?”
The cops cheered even more raucously, on being told that the new Administration sanctions police violence and outright supports it.
Since then, regardless of the heinous nature of the crime that police officers commit against citizens, Donald Trump does not like,(Black citizens); rather than condemn their crimes, he talks about upholding law and order.
We are all conversant of the law and order code-speak; it has been used along with states’ rights, as a cudgel to bludgeon those who speak out against state-sponsored violence against disenfranchised communities, à la the Black and Native American communities.

Sure he spoke out about the killing of George Floyd; who didn’t? Those who did not speak out against George Floyd’s killing are self-identified as unworthy of my time or yours.
It wasn’t the first time that Donald Trump had indicated to police that it was okay to abuse people, some of whom were even stupid enough to vote for him. (speaking of the so-called newly woke blacks, who are willing to shuck and jive their way back into slavery because some rapper received a nice tax cut and tells them to).
African-American women, old and young, are the backbone of the Democratic party, and for good reason; the reality is that the Republican party has been very hostile to African-Americans since President Lyndon Johnson signed the civil rights and voting rights acts into law.
Doctor King famously said he might have integrated his people into a burning building; he spoke of white attitudes in general when it comes to full citizenship with all of its responsibilities and rights.
He lamented that white Americans were appalled at the beating that peaceful demonstrators suffered at police’s hands-on bloody Sunday.
Still, when it came time for them to stand up and support legislation to stop it, they backed away.
It is now 2020, and the entire world saw George Floyd, murdered, literally on television; they have seen the police killing of countless other African Americans, and sure, millions turned out to register their outrage, but when it comes time to institute meaning full change to end the madness of police acting outside the laws, white Republicans en masse, and many Democrats backed away from taking action.
Even the Democratic Presidential candidate claims that he does not want to defund the police. Which means that he does not understand what defund the police means, or hasn’t bothered to care to know, although he owes his political survival to African-Americans.
Defunding the police means using parts of the incredibly bloated police budgets to change the systems that breed crime in underserved communities. It means providing the same services to black communities than white communities take for granted.
It means ending the mass militarization of police departments. When you give a man a hammer, everything he sees becomes a nail.

Trump is rumored to be doing well in the polls among younger African-American men. One Polling firm Rasmussen, reported that 46% of young black men support Donald Trump.
Many of these men have never been able to make good decisions for themselves, so I totally understand how they could support a con-artiste like Trump. The very same Trump who was sued by the government and penalized for not renting to Blacks.
Yes, the very same Trump who took out full-page ads calling for the death penalty for the so-called central park five. That same Donald Trump, who still insists that they are guilty after indisputable evidence of their innocence, has been unearthed.
The same man who called every black person he hates low IQ, and berates them with all kinds of pejoratives that his little low-IQ brain can conjure up.
The same Donald Trump who berates black athletes who kneel against police brutality, labeling them “sons of bitches.”
So granted that there’s one scintilla of truth in that polling, what is the basis for that support?
Is it Stockholm syndrome? It could be, but I doubt it.

Here is what it is. You may wonder at my disdain at some of the recently *woke* black people who are all over social media trying to influence others when they themselves haven’t bothered to acquaint themselves fully with the facts, or before trying to become influencers.
An old Jamaica saying, is that one fool makes many.” I am not referring to anyone as fools; I am simply trying to show how one unwitting person can disseminate false information and how dangerous its consequences can be on the gullible and uninformed. Much of that seems to be happening on social media platforms. In fact, many of those sharing the disinformation are unwitting pawns who copy and share false information they did not even bother to verify.
On the other hand, a lot of younger African-American men who have suffered at the hands of police abuse, who have been victimized by the system are being told that Joe Biden is the author of the 90s crime bill that resulted in mass-incarceration of many of them and members of their families.
Biden has owned his part in the crime Bill; nevertheless, the entire Congressional Black Caucus called for the crime bill, Black Clergy called for the Crime Bill.
Joe Biden is no more responsible for the crime bill than he is for police using the crime bill to exact vengeance on an entire race of people.
Neither is he responsible for the predatory young black men who are literally killing their own kind as if they want to exterminate their own race.

Oh, by the way, if you are mad that someone refers to murderers who kill six of one woman’s sons in gang feuds, or shoots up a park, killing black children as super-predators, you are part of the problem.
They are super predators who deserve to have the prison placed on top of their sorry asses.
Don’t ever conflate the immoral policy of mass-incarceration with super predatory murderers, who happen to be black.
These are two different issues.
If you are mad that Senator Kamala Harris, as a prosecutor vigorously prosecuted violent felons, some of who happened to be black, you are a part of the problem; you and Trump belong together, so go vote for him.
The History of the two political parties and Blacks in America has been mixed.
Abraham Lincoln did sign the Emancipation Declaration through the 13th Amendment. Still, he signed a flawed document that allows slavery to continue to this day if an enslaved person commits a felony and is convicted.
How shameful is it that the world’s oldest Democracy would continue to hold onto such despicable relics attached to its own Constitution?
Abraham Lincoln had no moral conviction about ending slavery. To Lincoln, ending slavery was a means to an end.
To the recently woke who continues to tout the Republican party on that basis that it was a Republican who freed the slaves, Lincoln’s letter to New York Publisher Horace Greely.

Hon. Horace Greely: Executive Mansion,
Dear Sir Washington, August 22, 1862.

I have just read yours of the 19th. addressed to myself through the New-York Tribune. If there be in it any statements, or assumptions of fact, which I may know to be erroneous, I do not, now and here, controvert them. If there be in it any inferences which I may believe to be falsely drawn, I do not now and here, argue against them. If there be perceptable in it an impatient and dictatorial tone, I waive it in deference to an old friend, whose heart I have always supposed to be right.

As to the policy I “seem to be pursuing” as you say, I have not meant to leave any one in doubt.

I would save the Union. I would save it the shortest way under the Constitution. The sooner the national authority can be restored; the nearer the Union will be “the Union as it was.” If there be those who would not save the Union, unless they could at the same time save slavery, I do not agree with them. If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause. I shall try to correct errors when shown to be errors; and I shall adopt new views so fast as they shall appear to be true views.

I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty; and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men every where could be free. Yours,

A. LINCOLN

Hey You Black Man/woman, Yes You, Don’t Ever Think You Cannot End Up Picking Cotton Again…

It is remarkable to me that the dog in the fight with the most to lose is the dog that doesn’t want to participate.
Before I tell you what I am yapping about (more dog humor).….. No disrespect to my dog Bud.
Let us back up a bit to the fight that African-Americans waged just to earn the right to vote.
The 15th Amendment to the US constitution granted African-Americans the right to vote. “Slavery is not abolished until the Black man has the ballot,Frederick Douglass famously said in May 1865, a month after the Union victory at Appomattox.

After Abraham Lincoln was assassinated it was up to President Andrew Johnson to reconstruct the Union.
Like Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson was a Unionist from Tennesse who was a strong state rights believer.
For those of you not paying attention, state rights are coded language for allowing states to do with black people what they wanted. (It is a term used still today by Republicans when they want laws that discriminate against African-Americas). Republicans like Ronald Reagan, Patrick Buchanan, Newt Gingrich, and most today in the US House and Senate are ardent state’s rights advocates.
Because of Andrew Johnson’s attitude to the over four million newly freed African-Americans, the nation embarked at a blistering pace, to enact anti-black laws, that were later known as the [black codes].

In Early 1866, Congress passed the Civil Rights Bill, which aimed to build on the 13th Amendment and give Black Americans the rights of citizens, Andrew Johnson vetoed the bill. Congress overrode his veto, marking the first time in the nation’s history that major legislation became law over a presidential veto.
In 1867 the period when radical reconstruction began, Black Americans voted in huge numbers across the South, electing a total of 22 Black men to serve in the U.S. Congress (two in the Senate).
Even though Blacks voted in numbers and were seeing themselves represented in the Federal Government, local or state power largely remained in white hands, much the way it is today. Black officials faced the constant threat of intimidation and violence, often at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan or other white supremacist groups.
Today the Black vote is under constant threat from the Republican party.

Because the 15th Amendment left it up to states to decide the specific qualifications for suffrage. Southern state legislatures used such qualifications — including literacy tests, poll taxes, and other discriminatory practices — to disenfranchise a majority of Black voters in the decades following Reconstruction. (says History.com).
Those discriminatory practices were exemplified in the ignoble statutes in the southern states known as Jim Crowe laws.
The 1964 Civil Rights Act outlawed discrimination in schools restaurants and other public places but did not address voting rights.
In 1966 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Harper v. Virginia Board of Elections that poll taxes (which the 24th Amendment had eliminated for federal elections in 1964) were unconstitutional for state and local elections as well. (history.com).
As a consequence of these hard-fought-for gains, black voting participation continued to grow.
In 2012, Black voter turnout exceeded that of white voters for the first time in history, as 66.6 percent of eligible Black voters turned out to help reelect Barack Obama, the nation’s first African American president.

Are you ready for this?
[One year later], In 2013, the Republican majority on the United States Supreme Court struck down a key provision of the Voting Rights Act, ruling 5 – 4 in Shelby v. Holder that it was unconstitutional to require states with a history of voter discrimination to seek federal approval before changing their election laws.
The courts insulting reasoning for its transparent attempt to roll back voting rights, was that the racism that existed that necessitated the law does not exist anymore.
Immediately after the decision was handed down, states under Republican rule, embarked on a scorched earth strategy to limit voting rights, if not to existentially threaten it completely.
In a ruling in one North Carolina law that was struck down by a federal judge, the judge remarked in his ruling that the law went after African-Americans with surgical precision.

The state was not done, it appealed the ruling to the supreme court, the supreme court would have been better served by hearing the case and destroying it on its demerits, instead of doing so, the high court refused to hear the case which effectively defaulted the case to the appellate court’s decision.
African-Americans yearning to catch a break was weary that the Republican high court would reverse the appeals court decision, thankfully it decided against hearing it.
Had the Republican majority on the Supreme Court left the voting rights Act where it was, by adhering to the principle of (stare decisis), or let the decision stand, there would be no need to deny hearing a malicious case of voter suppression, the case simply would not have progressed that far.

It will forever be unknown how many Black people lost their lives, lynched, their properties destroyed, losing their jobs, suffering grave indignities simply because they wanted to exercise their constitutional right to exercise their suffrage.
And while we are at it, let us not forget the conscientious white people who sacrificed and even died protecting the rights of Black people to simply vote.
Like everything else that everyone takes for granted, African-American patriots of the past have had to fight like hell to earn and secure the right to vote.
Exercising the right to vote is the greatest tool that the average person has, it allows for self-determination and autonomy.
Of course not, there will never be a candidate or raft of candidates that totally embodies all of the things we would like to see done.
However, history, like the present, is our best guide to help us determine how that vote is exercised. Voting is not a transactional endeavor.
The idea that a candidate must offer stuff for your vote is an insult to those who have bled and died so that you can have that right. While many of you pontificate about not getting anything for your vote, here is a clue, how about getting up off your rear ends and go find a job, then go vote?

I have heard so much about the right to vote contextualized in transactional terms, that I am fed up with this so-called woke culture. A little bit of knowledge is certainly dangerous.
Before you try to influence others, please brush up on your American history.
Freedom is not a one-off affair, every generation must work like hell to protect the freedoms that many of us take for granted.
In this election cycle, some skin-folks [with a little money] are pledging fealty to the status quo, because of an extra zero in your bank account from an immoral tax cut for the wealthy. It is important that the rest of us understand that we are not Fifty cents, Ice cube, or Kanye West.
Those unlearned rappers are yet to learn their history, and so they do not understand the reasons that they are where they are today. For the rest of us, understanding what’s at stake this cycle is critical.
Don’t ever for one moment believe that you cannot end up right back on the cotton plantations.

Trump Is A Lying Unintelligent Wannabe Dictator, But There Are Others Just As Bad, Or Worse With PhD’s

Starting to smell the smoke from what may be the burning house that Donald Trump built, Nebraska US Senator Ben Sasse conveniently issued a scathing rebuke of Trumpism in a teleconference recently.
If you were living on Mars and you recently came to earth and saw the train-wreck that is Donald Trump’s presidency, at least as far as Republican presidencies go. Then you heard Ben Sasse’s statements; you would be moved to declaring Ben Sasse a damn national hero.
On the other hand, if you lived here on good old planet earth, and focused on the fact that(a) Ben Sasse has voted in lock-step with Donald Trump’s agenda 86.7% of the time according to fivethirtyeight.com, (b) that Sasse had no problem with Trump’s outrageous actions over the last three years, including declaring that white Supremacists who murdered Heather Heyer in Charlottesville Virginia were “wonderful people,” © that Ben Sasse only saw fit to criticize Donald Trump in this manner because he sees polling that may mean that Donald Trump will be a one-term president, and more importantly that Republicans may actually lose the Senate.
A Democracy is only as good as its leaders and people’s adherence to established rules and protocols. As far as the actions of the Republican party are concerned, America has long crossed that Rubicon, into another form of government.

As I pointed out in a previous article(linked above), Ben Sasse has shown that he is nothing but a cheap political hustler, who is reading the tea leaves and hoping to distinguish himself from other Republicans to run for president 2024.
In 2016 President Barack Obama nominated Judge Merrick Garland to fill the seat vacated by right-wing Republican associate Justice Antonin Scalia.
It is the Constitutional duty of the sitting President to nominate judges for vacant Federal judgeships, including the Supreme Court.
The constitutional duty of the United States Senate is to give advice and consent to the President’s nominee.
In that process, through hearings and thorough examination of the individual judge’s record and character, the senate then votes one way or the other, to confirm or not to confirm the president’s choice.
There is nothing in the Constitution that allows the United States Senate to make up a rule which says that ten months before an election, the Senate will not act on the president’s pick to fill a supreme court vacancy.

Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate majority leader, created that rule in 2016. Judge Merrick Garland was not granted a hearing by a single Republican United States Senator, including Ben Sasse, much less a vote, up or down.
Yet the Republicans turned right around and rammed through Amey Coney Barrett after liberal icon Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s passing, a 180 degree turn from a policy they created just over four years ago.
More importantly, it must be noted that Judge Garland was not the only Judge blocked from moving up the federal judiciary. Mitch McConnel blocked well over a hundred and seventy other judges President Obama put forward for advancement in the Federal judiciary.
Mitch McConnel later bragged that the greatest highlight of his political career was when he looked in President Obama’s eyes and told him that he would not be allowing his nomination to proceed to the Supreme Court.
Mitch McConnel did the kind of thing that happens in banana republics, not in the so-called world’s oldest democracy.

Using raw political power to accomplish narrow political ends is the antithesis of what a democratic nation is.
Republicans have made it clear that they have all but abandoned their pompous charade on patriotism and Democracy. They have used to pontificate on and even launch wars as recently as in this twenty-first century under George W Bush.
Dramatically changing voting demographics and it’s alienating policies have caused Republicans to ditch their former lying posture.
They are now desperately engaged in packing the Federal courts with flunkies and lackeys, loyal to the Republican party, and white supremacy as an ideological foundation.
Through voter suppression, gerrymandering, and other anti-democratic tactics, they have systemically launched scorched earth tactics to create a judiciary that will give them what they will not be able to accomplish legislatively.
Their dear leader at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue alluded to that theory.

Now, Ben Sasse, the historian, wants to issue a civics lesson on the Constitution, which he tried to do Monday as he tried to add legitimacy to the stink of the Amey Coney Barrett hearing.
If we can back up and do a little bit of eighth-grade civics, I think it would benefit us and benefit the watching country and especially watching eighth-grade civics classes,”
This sanctimonious hypocrite then went on to attack Democrats, charging them with playing politics. This is the same Ben Sasse that did not believe that Judge Garland should be seated when there was a Democratic President in the White House, but who now wants to give a lecture on what he sees as politicking by Democrats who chose to boycott the committee vote.
But that wasn’t all; Sasse went on to criticize Democrats over his very own insecurities, that they will engage in court packing after the election should they win the senate and white house.
The irony is that Ben Sasse was engaged in the straightforward act of court-packing, he was berating the Democrats for. He was projecting onto them, that they will do in return, when Republicans had done when they retrieve the reins of power.
It is the most dastardly act of hypocrisy imaginable, but this guy is a republican, so there is that.….…
The sad reality in all of this fiasco, is that the Democrats are weak; they will ignore this grave travesty that the Republicans have perpetrated on the nation, and they will ignore the will of the people who support them should they win in two weeks.
Rather than immediately nominate and place FOUR JUSTICES ON the supreme court to compensate for the dishonesty that placed Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and now Amey Coney Barrett on the nation’s highest court.
That is what’s at stake this cycle, not just removing a wannabe amoral dictator, but shutting down hypocrites like Ben Sasse.

Cop Photographed In Polling Station Wearing Trump Mask(no More Bullshit)

Miami cop turned up at a police station in full uniform, with a gun and a mask with the words “TRUMP no more bullshit.”
Can someone point me to the good cops that everyone keeps talking about?

Daniel Ubeda, in full uniform with badge and gun wearing his Trump mask inside of the polling location in the government center. This is city-funded voter intimidation. Ubeda should be suspended immediately. (Tweeted Miami Democratic Party official Steve Simeonidis.
According to the Miami New-Times, Simeonidis photographed the officer, whom he identified as Daniel Ubeda, at the Government Center in downtown Miami, and tweeted the image shortly thereafter.
What he did was taxpayer-funded intimidation,” Simeonidis tells New Times. Any reasonable person would be unnerved to see a man with a gun, a badge, and a Trump mask walking right by them as they’re casting their ballots.”

RESPONSES

Mayor of Miami Francis Suarez a Republican tweeted out ‚I have spoken to Chief Colina and we agree that the officer’s behavior is unacceptable. This was a violation of departmental policy. He is under investigation and disciplinary measures will be taken.

Dozens of people, including Miami-Dade voters, responded to Simeonidis’ tweet with outrage.
“Unacceptable… There should be no political messaging as part of our officers’ uniforms,” city commissioner Ken Russell tweeted.
In an interview with WIOD-AM (610) radio host Brian Mudd at 11:35 this morning, City of Miami Police Chief Jorge Colina said the department was aware of the incident and would take “appropriate action.”
Obviously, this is a violation of our policy,” Colina told Mudd. “You’re not supposed to be campaigning for anyone [while] in uniform.”

THEN THERE IS THE POLICE UNION

Tommy Reyes, president of the Miami Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), said in a statement that the union is also aware of the photo.
We would like to remind everyone, police officers also have First Amendment rights under the U.S. Constitution as well as the right to vote in uniform pursuant to Florida State Law,” Reyes said in an FOP press release. “We would also like to state that the National FOP has endorsed President Donald Trump’s re-election.

Yah.….…
These are the unions that continue to encourage their members to murder, commit assaults, and break rules the rest of society lives by.
Even when breaches of law and rules are indefensible by their blatancy, these thug unions find ways to try to add justification to these egregious actions.
And while you are at it, remember these events when they call you soliciting money for their members.

Turns Out The Grand Jury Heard No Evidence On Which To Consider Charging Cops In Breonna Taylor’s Case

We all saw and heard Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announce to the world that there would be no charges against the cops who went to the Home of 26-year-old Breonna Taylor to serve a no-knock warrant and ended up putting eight (8) bullets in her.
The only officer to face any charge in the case has been an endangerment charge against Detective Brett Hankison formerly of the Louisville Police Department.
Hankison was fired as protest erupted surrounding the case.

Breonna Taylor

Here is the skin-folk Attorney General detailing the sequence of events as the Police reported to him, not as an independent investigator whose duty is to get to the truth, to do due diligence on behalf of the public.
Attorney-General Cameron’s statements immediately drew criticism, condemnation, and ridicule at the time.
Without assuming too much from the sequence of events, Attorney-General Cameron appears to be acting on behalf of the cops who killed Ms. Taylor rather than in the interest of justice.
Judge for yourselves from the video below whether Attorney General Daniel Cameron appeared to be an independent investigator or whether he is a bought and paid-tool for the Louisville police.

According to fresh Reporting from NBCA grand juror who heard evidence in the Breonna Taylor probe said Tuesday that the grand jury didn’t agree that her death was justified, a disclosure that came after a Kentucky judge ordered records in the proceedings released to show if “publicly elected officials are being honest.”
In a statement, “Grand Juror #1,” as lawyer Kevin Glogower has identified the person, said that the only charge presented during the proceedings was wanton endangerment.

Daniel Cameron wanted no charges against the officers, so he presented no indictable evidence to the grand jury.
In essence, Daniel Cameron used up the time, purporting to be running an investigation, supposedly hoping for tensions to die down, then presented a bogus case for indictment on minor endangerment charges against Hankinson.

A picture is sometimes worth a thousand words..

The reporting detailed that In a statement, the grand juror said that homicide laws were not explained during the proceedings, even though the panel asked about them.
“Questions were asked about the additional charges„ and the grand jury was told there would be none because the prosecutors didn’t feel they could make them stick,” the statement said. “The grand jury didn’t agree that certain actions were justified, nor did it decide the indictment should be the only charges in the Breonna Taylor case.”
The grand juror added that self-defense and justification laws were not explained either.
Cameron has said that he disagrees with the Judge’s ruling but will not appeal it. Grand juries are closed events; they act on whatever information prosecutors give to them to consider.
African-Americans have always complained that prosecutors use the grand jury process to protect killer cops from being brought to justice.
We saw that on full display after NYPD thugs murdered Erica Garner in broad daylight on camera.

Cameron argues that as a special prosecutor, he decided to ask for an indictment on charges that could be proven under Kentucky law. Adding that„ he remained confident in the presentation made to the grand jury.
The fact is that Cameron’s arguments sound plausible enough; nevertheless, much of what he told the public in the video above is at odds with what the grand juror has been saying.
Whether or not Daniel Cameron’s statements are true that he could not prove a single charge against the officers who killed Ms. Taylor is open to speculation and may even be true.
However, at the same time„ all across America„ people of color continue to suffer at the hands of corrupt police, prosecutors„ judges, and an entire system that continues to coalesce in perpetuating the cancer of injustice, robbing the people of their rights, dignity, and their very existence.

Black Man’s Encounter With Police At Bus-stop,forced To Kneel In The Snow…

He is from Ghana, he has been in the United States for years, he told me he lived in Missouri before deciding to come to New York where he has kinfolk.
He tells me that he has children in Ghana and so he has to work hard. He first came to see me with one of his kinfolk, a friend of mine from Ghana.
He wanted Cellphone service, he also needed a plan that would allow him to speak to his family back home. He is a pretty talkative guy, and so we talked a lot until he learned that I was born in December.
He told me that because I was born in December my Ghanian name would be (Kabra). He explained the reason for the name, but I have no recollection of those reasons, I’m horrible when it comes to long conversations, particularly when I make the decision that the information is not crucial. Except to say that I now feel like a [Kabra] whenever I see him, even though I have no idea what a Kabra is, or if [it] is even a thing.
I only know him as Mister Liat.

He did odd jobs for one of his relatives who operates a small used car lot outside the village of Pleasant Valley New York. And then he got a steady job in an assisted living facility in the town of Millbrook. He lives close to where I live with a relative I’m told, and so most evenings, rain snow, or shine, while I am driving home in the comfort of a nice warm car, I pass by him standing at the light post that doubles as an unofficial bust-stop.
Unfortunately, I cannot offer him a ride because my home is less than half a mile away. He works several miles away. Nevertheless, I always honk my horn to say hi, he waves back, even before I honk, no matter how dark it is.

Driving by mister Liat there almost every evening, always gnawed at my gut, being born and raised poor, I have no illusions about the things that God has blessed me with, I never take them for granted.
In fact, I harbor deep-seated feelings of guilt at the things that I do have, despite working as a slave to accomplish what I have.
I drive my wife nuts about vegetables going bad in the refrigerator, or some tchotchke that she buys when I consider that in some parts of this, the greatest country in the world, there are people who cannot source healthy foods, or worse, cannot afford to eat period.

One thing that consoles me is the thought that for most immigrants to America’s shores hard work and sacrifices are a staple.
Hard work, education, and good planning are the only true pathways out of poverty. America is still the last best hope for poor people to find their way.
This morning I saw mister Liat, he stopped by to pay his phone bill and we got to talking, he told me that on several occasions the police pass him standing there, they size him up and sometimes double back to demand to know what he is doing standing there?
At a bus-stop.
He told me that one group of cops stopped to question him in the snow, they ordered him to his knees in the snow.
At the bus stop.
No, this is not Minneapolis, not Texas, not in the deep south, not in the rocky mountains, this is the Hudson Valley New York.

One cop asked him if he was from Ghana, after hearing his still raw Ghanaian accent, he said he nodded in the affirmative.
The cop then proceeded to tell him that he had been to Ghana several times and how nicely the people treated him there.
The irony is palpable.
He told me that on another occasion a cop stopped to question him, he said he was scared that he would be murdered.
Imagine being scared of being murdered by the supposed protectors”?
“Kabra, I have my kids in Ghana, these people will kill you”, he reasoned.
He explained his actions literally supplicating himself to the cop, “you could do a great good today if you gave me a ride to my job”, he suggested to the cop.
The cop told him no…he could get into trouble for giving him a ride.

Imagine the reality that allows the police to stop and violate the rights of people without zero consequence, but if he dares give that person a ride in that luxury tax-payer SUV, he could be in a whole hell of trouble.
I thought about the thousands of dollars in taxes my wife and I pay so that cop and others may ride around in those luxury SUVs, then I thought long and hard about the kind of world we have created as a species.
Changing the lives of the very poor is a moral obligation that we all have, nevertheless, we can never have moral laws coming from deeply immoral law-makers.
And a tear came to my eye.….….….….….….…

Now Another Republican Senator Wants To Shake Off The Trump Stench…

Do you recall over the last four years, everyone and their uncle asking the question, “what the hell happened to the Republicans”, in the face of Donald Trump’s crimes? (Senators, Congressmen &women)
Of course, you do… Some people say they are scared that Trump’s cult of support will turn against them and shoo them out of office once he starts to bully them on Twitter.
I agree that he is a colossal bully, there is no denying that, the support he enjoys is not the kind of soft support that other politicians would enjoy, his supporters are all in.
So we are forced to scratch a little deeper to understand the cult following that emboldened Donald Trump to say he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and he wouldn’t lose a single supporter. (We’ll come back to this point)
Me, I have ideas that may be more sinister. I believe that the Russians have dirt on all of these clowns and so they are forced to toe the Trump line.

It is remarkable what internal polling can do fifteen days before a presidential election. I mean, being the calculative self-serving tacticians that they are, a couple of Republican Senators have begun to find their voices by trying to create an impression that they were always independent thinkers who never followed on their knees behind Trump like servile domesticated dogs.
Two days ago I wrote about the calculative attempt of Nebraska US Senator Ben Sasse, in an insult to our intelligence, when he tried to berate Donald Trump to roughly 17,000 of his constituents, in a teleconference.
Sure Senator Sasse, that kind of thing will never get out, you only said it to the equivalent of a mid-sized town.
And now Texas Republican US senator John Cornyn, who is in a tougher than expected fight to retain his seat, has kinda-sorta, come out with a mealy-mouthed bunch of lies, in an effort to try and wash some of the stenches of Donald Trump from off him.

Slate reported that in a meeting Cornyn was asked whether he and other members of the Republican Party didn’t regret failing to push Trump more on certain issues“?
I think what we found is that we’re not going to change President Trump. He is who he is,” Cornyn said. “You either love him or hate him, and there’s not much in-between”. What I tried to do is not get into public confrontations and fights with him because, as I’ve observed, those usually don’t end too well.
The report indicated that Cornyn insisted that he was opposed to taking money from the defense budget to build portions of the border wall, claiming he is “very much a defense hawk.”
But, as the Dallas Morning News points out, Cornyn repeatedly defended the move publicly. In February, for example, he said Trump really had no other choice. “I believe border security is part of national security. So I support the efforts to accomplish that secure border,” Cornyn told reporters on Feb. 20. “The president’s left with a bad hand and has to play the best hand he can.Cornyn’s Democratic challenger, MJ Hegar, sent a tweet pointing out this discrepancy: “Either John Cornyn’s a coward — or he’s a liar.
No, it is not a binary choice… John Cornyn is both, and then some.
John Cornyn is seeing the same external polling that most Americans are seeing, additionally, John Cornyn, like Ben Sasse, is also seeing the handwriting on the wall, they have access to internal polling for their party.
Ben Sasse said it, he said Trump is leading the party into a “bloodbath”, [sic].

Not a single one of these Republican US Senators honored their oaths over the last three years plus of the Trump régime. They stood by in lockstep with Donald Trump as he walked all over the Constitution, the laws, and the rights of people he hated.
Not a single Republican Senator had the maturity that the founders expected them to exhibit in the upper chamber. It is because the founders expected Senators to be more reasoned, less partisan, more deliberative, that they are given six-year terms, as opposed to the two-year term of the more rambunctious members of the house.
Without considering that Donald Trump will be like a flash in the pan, gone eventually, despite the evidence they all-together voted to keep Trump in office, with the exception of Mitt Romney.
Not a single other Republican Senator stepped up to defend the Constitution as Republican Senators did to Richard Nixon.
Making the argument that they do not like the things Trump does is malarky, Trump committed removable offenses for which he was justly impeached.
Republicans dishonored their oaths to the constitution when they decided not to remove the menace that is the Trump régime, all out of rank political opportunism.

The pursuit of power has long been the sole strategy of Republicans at all levels. They create farm institutions that nurture and grow right-wing zealots whose loyalty is to the Republican party and its racist policies, and not to the Democratic principles enshrined in the constitution.
Organizations like the Heritage Foundation are determined to make the Supreme Court a far-right final arbiter that will turn the American clock back hundreds of years.
On the Supreme Court and the Federal appeals Bench, they have been a phenomenal success at recreating the American Judiciary into an arm of the Republican Party.
Through unconscionable redistricting, they have gerrymandered Congressional Districts that allow Republican house members to choose their voters, instead of voters choosing them.
Through a multiplicity of voter suppression tactics, they have prevented minorities and young people from exercising the fundamental constitutional right in any Democratic nation, that is the right to vote.
The Republican party’s galling and rapacious attempts to grab and hold power is an insult to the flag, the Constitution, and everything this experiment ever represented.

Years ago Roger Ailes pitched an idea to Rupert Murdoch a media tycoon. That idea was that there was about 60% of the media that was slanted to the left .……liberal as they say.
He argued that despite those percentages, the people who received news from the major news organizations, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, Washington Post, et al were scattered around those networks.
He argued that there was a solid 40% who wanted something else.
That 40% was the so-called conservatives scattered across the country.
FOX misinformation was born, along with FOX, emerged a network of radio, and other misinformation channels that were dedicated to feeding the beast of racist right-wing fears and victimhood.
Donald Trump did not need to work toward earning that 40% of the country, it was sitting there waiting for the most caustic, most venomous nationalist to take over, and that is exactly what he did.
One by one he annihilated his opponents in the 2016 primaries, not with policy ideas, not with business ideas, but with insults, demagoguery, lies, and slander.
They wanted a candidate who hates who they hate, regardless of his flaws, Donald Trump became President because that 40% voted, Democrats and so-called Independents allowed Russian misinformation against Hillary Clinton to keep them from voting.
According to the FBI Director and a long line of other national security experts, not only has Russian interference not stopped, other state actors have joined in, placing the American Elections in grave danger.
Not a single Republican United States Senator has put politics or personal considerations aside to stand up to Donald Trump, as such not a single one of them will be guiltless when this is all over.

Black Woman Filmmaker Who Produced Film About Police Brutality Gets Attacked By Police

Brittany Chrishawn, the producer of the award-winning police brutality film “Illville,” gets attacked and left with broken teeth after police trespass on her property.
Brittany Chrishawn, an award-winning African-American filmmaker and social justice advocate who produced a film that explores police brutality, has been brutalized herself by police officers in Jacksonville, Florida. Her film Illville most recently won an award at The Cannes International Pan African Film Festival 2020.

The police allege that Brittany assaulted an officer with a plastic spoon while he was seated in his car in her driveway, but there’s video footage showing the officer getting out of the car to collect the plastic spoon from the ground to use as evidence against her.
We live in a time where police misconduct has been exposed for the epidemic that it is, but far too many stories of victims who’ve survived police brutality go untold, and these are the victims who have to endure fighting wrongful convictions without the strong support of the public eye and national media outlets. This story deserves the public’s attention because victory with this case will provide a benchmark for people of color who may be subjected to this type of police misconduct in the future. It will be a great step forward in this age-old fight for basic human/civil rights.

On May 13th, 2020, JSO officer Carmona parked in Brittany’s driveway for no legal reason; the police report claims he thought the property was vacant so he parked there to check his email. Brittany Chrishawn Williams-Moore approached the officer’s vehicle to ask the officer if she could help him, but she ended up having to call 911 to report the officer for refusing to give a reason for him being there and refusing to leave.

But when more officers arrived on the scene, Brittany was arrested with the use of excessive force by multiple male officers, one of them being JSO Officer Tyler Landreville who’s known for having already killed 2 African American men in Jacksonville – Vernell Bing in 2016 and Frankie Feliciano in 2019.

We both felt the same fear that we imagine all black people feel right before they die at the hands of law enforcement,” said Ausar Moore, Brittany’s husband who witnessed the encounter.

He continues, “I was a little relieved when the supervising officer and other officers arrived at the scene. But instead of the supervisor making officer Carmona leave, two officers including one who previously killed two African-Americans in Jacksonville ran into our house without a warrant, tackled my 97-pound wife, and banged her head against our wooden floor breaking her two front teeth in half. Until this day, she is still suffering from injuries related to the incident such as a disorder called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) which is dubbed ‘the suicide disease’. I am disgusted with how this system routinely oppresses people of color and sharing our story is the best way I know to correct the flaw within the legal system.”

Black Christians Being Fooled By Republicans On The Issue Of Abortions.….….

YouTube player

In recent times I have written about the lies in the culture wars Republicans are waging, particularly as it relates to the issue of abortions. In so doing I have sought to point out the glaring inconsistencies between what they say they are fighting for, and their actual deeds, which shows that they are lying hypocrites.
As I have pointed out, Republicans led by the heretics in the so-called white evangelical faith, are solely concerned about abortion, because white women are not having enough babies to maintain the numeric white strength in America that they need to maintain white supremacy.

On the issue of Immigration, they want that limited if not totally dried up for the same reason. Black and brown immigrants tend to be more exposed and therefore less closed-minded, so they are generally less likely to vote for a white right-wing party that hates people of color.
Even in cases where the immigrants do come in and sell their very souls to the Republicans, a‑la the majority of the Cubans in south Florida, — [a‑la Raphael Cruz & Liddle Marco Rubio, et al[sic], they are tolerated for their votes, not accepted as real Americans.

(Steve King R Iowa)

Here is Steve King, a Republican congressman from Iowa in a tweet in March of 2017: Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies.
Donald Trump, in a conversation in which he referred to people arriving in the United States from countries that are largely Black and Brown, referred to those countries as *shithole countries*. He asked: ” Why can’t we have people from Norway?
Norway is a homogenously white European nation, so there you have it.

The deception in the fight against abortions that have been wrapped in religious packaging for moral validity, is easy to unmask, not by what they are saying, but by what they are doing.
It not only reveals the lies and hypocrisy but unravels the whole charade that is behind the white evangelical movement.
Unfortunately, there is a bunch of Black Church folk who have also fallen victim to this fraud, and have thrown their support behind the Republican Party, a party that is antithetical to their interests, yet it has been able to fool some into believing that on the dual issues of abortions and religion they should support that party.
On the seminal issues that affect Blacks in their daily lives, the Republican party has steadfastly positioned itself against Black Americans. On race and police violence, on reparations, on education, housing, on healthcare, on affordable housing, clean drinking water, on voting rights.
On issue after issue, the Republican Party has positioned itself squarely between the forward progress of Blacks and where they need to be.

On the most basic of sustenance that is food stamps and other dietary supplementary programs that have been created to aid the poorest and most vulnerable, Republicans have opposed giving those dietary supplements to children in order for them to survive.
Blacks are among the poorest people in the country, so when Republicans oppose dietary supplements for the poorest among us they are saying they do not care whether Black babies live or die.
When Police murder young Black men and boys Republicans change the subject to law and order. What they are saying is that they do not care if Black men and boys live or die.

A few days ago I wrote about some folks in the Black community pretending to [be woke].….. then there are the celebrities as well, some of whom take it upon themselves to speak for Black people, when they themselves are incapable of articulating a full sentence on their own behalf.
Trump and Republicans disrespect Lebron and Steph and others who do not buy into his racist bullshit, but his campaign invited [Ice cube] or whatever his name is, to sit down on behalf of Black people.
Who does Ice Cube speak for?

Kenneth Williams

The tragedy with watching these events, is the clarity with which the truth unfolds, but because many of these negroes do not bother to read they fall for every shiny object.
Why would anyone sit down with Trump and his campaign given his record of racism and lies? Nothing that comes out of him is credible, everything that comes out of him is deceptive and self-serving.
And so while these Christians and other negroes are running around talking about supporting Trump and the Republican party, the true agenda of the Republican party is on full display in places like Arkansas for all to see. Not to mention what his personal Attorney William Barr is doing in the Department of Justice to send Blacks back to the plantations.

Arkansas has carried out its fourth execution within a week, bringing to a troubling end the state’s controversial attempt to run a “conveyor belt of death” in an aggressive burst of killings unseen in the US for more than half a century.
Kenneth Williams was pronounced dead at 11.05 pm local time at the end of a 13-minute lethal injection that resulted in disturbing signs of distress on the part of the prisoner.
Eyewitnesses in the death chamber reported that his whole body shook with 15 or 20 convulsions just minutes into the procedure, and that he continued to breathe heavily even after a paralytic was injected into him to render all movement impossible.
Despite pleas from family members of the victim not to execute Williams Asa Hutchinson hurriedly had him killed, and the Republican-dominated Supreme Court refused to hear their case for a stay, much less for clemency.

It is not a question of whether one believes in the death penalty or not, it is a question of how Republican Governors in Republican-run states are eager and willing to kill Black inmates with callous dispatch, and a Republican-dominated Supreme Court with the likes of Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Samuel Alito and Brett Kavanaugh who refuses to even hear their appeals.
Experts pointed to several issues in these killings, including the drugs of choice which they argue cause unnecessary suffering.
According to reporting from the Guardian, Kenneth Williams made a lengthy statement before he was killed. He apologized to all his victims’ families, and said: “I was more than wrong. The crimes I perpetrated against you all were senseless, extremely hurtful, and inexcusable. I humbly beg your forgiveness and pray that you find the peace, healing, and closure you all deserve.”

People are free to vote for the party of their choice, people are free to support whomever they chose but for some of you who purport to speak for the Black community, please do the honorable thing and tell the people you are seeking to influence that you are just dogs chasing bones.
Tell the truth that you have been promised something and that’s the reason you are running around behind Republicans. But whatever you do, please do not try to distort reality with your lies.

Why Is Ben Sassing Trump Now?

Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse did not bite his tongue when he addressed a group of his constituents in a telephone town hall meeting recently; please tell us how you feel, Ben.
Geez.…..
Other than the wishy-washy Mitt Romney of Utah and Susan Collins of Maine, the only other US Senator who has ever dared to disagree with [wannabe strongman Donald Trump] openly, has been [flaky Jeff Flake of Arizona], of course, he did what Trump wanted, threw a few stones then ducked out before Trump could chop his head off.

Sasse responded to questions from constituents as to why he has openly criticized Donald Trump, a Republican President, for Republican polarized cultists, which is an almost unforgivable sin.
In response, Ben Sasse told them Trump has “flirted with white supremacists,” and “kisses dictators’ butts, and mocks Christian evangelicals in private.
I totally agree with Sasse on the two former charges, but I am totally in agreement with Trump as it relates to Trump mocking Evangelicals.
White Christian Evangelicals are total idiots and hypocrites to boot.
Sasse also criticized Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and said Trump’s family had treated the presidency “as a business opportunity. “I mean, he and I have a very different foreign policy,” Sasse said. “It isn’t just that he fails to lead our allies. It’s that we — the United States — regularly sell out our allies under his leadership.”
Ouch!!!!
Sasse said he criticizes Trump for how he treats women and because Trump “spends like a drunken sailor,” saying he criticized Democratic President Barack Obama for overspending as well.

Millions of Americans have already voted; in fact, as I am writing this piece, more than 20 million have already cast their ballots, so think on this.
As California Congressman, and former presidential candidate Eric Swalwell have pointed out, Ben Sasse voted to acquit Trump’s impeachment trial. His voting record in the US Senate, has been lockstep in line with Donald Trump’s agenda.
If you want to see whether Ben Sasse is doing this out of a strong moral conviction, rather than deeply rapacious personal lust, watch to see if he will cast a vote against seating Amey Coney Barrett on the United States Supreme Court.

Ben Sasse is a 48-years old Yale educated Republican Senator who is whip-smart. Ben Sasse waited until the writing is now on the wall that Trump may be imploding to release what he believes will be retrievable evidence of his opposition to Donald Trump’s corruption.
Evidence that he believes, will cleanse him of the putrid stench of his otherwise servile sycophancy to Trump’s agenda.
Ben Sasse has not objected to a single one of Trump’s crimes, not on his illegal Muslim ban, not on locking children in cages, not on his breaches of the emoluments clause, not on his killing of Iranian General Solemani, not on his attempt to destroy NATO, not on his crazy trade war on China, not on dividing the country along racial lines, not on cozying up to white supremacists .…..until this outburst.
So what is it that caused Ben Sasse to speak out against Donald Trump’s crimes now?

Above all things else, Sasse is a shrewdly intelligent younger man who sees himself going places. There will be life after Donald Trump, and someone will need to rise from the ashes, regardless of when that time comes…There will be a reckoning for what this iteration of the Republican party has done to the country.
Sasse wants to be the phoenix that rises from the ashes to represent the party when that time comes, maybe as early as 2024.
Many welcome Ben Sasse’s comments, including some Democrats, who are happy for anything that looks like bipartisan opposition to what Trump represents.
Not me.
Sasse pointed out that Donald Trump’s actions will result in young people trending away from the Republican party never to return. He laments that the[ young people will become lifelong Democrats], not the harm that Trump is doing to the country.
For Ben Sasse, like other Republicans who are not members of the Lincoln Project, it is all about political expediency, and holding raw power.
Like the other Republicans, Ben Sasse is just another two-bit political hustler.

Minister & Commissioner Call For More SOE’s , Jamaicans Should Expect No Solutions From This Team…

YouTube player

The murder rate in Jamaica has not subsided and I would like to take this opportunity to point to the lack of yapping by the self-styled elites on our Island on this subject.
Can you imagine if the Commissioner of police was from the Rank and file?
So what has changed.…. We have at the head of the police force, a man who comes from the little defense force, and Lord knows they know it all, so they are used to plug every hole in the leaking dyke.
As I have said before, and even as far back as when I served in the JCF, (a) you can have the best-intentioned individuals working at a problem,(b) who are willing to give their very lives for the cause, as so many have, without the right training and equipment the job will not get done.
That has been the plight of the Jamaican police department, as it has been for all of the other arms of the government.
Lack of priority funding and training cost lives, when it happens in the medical field people who should not die, end up dead in hospitals. When the police are starved of the training and resources they need, people die from elevated levels of criminal activity.

My quarrel is not with the Commissioner of Police, nevertheless, there has seen zero pressure to bring the murder rate down, or calls for Commissioner Anderson to be fired.
Remarkably, when I left the force in 1991 as a very young man, police officers didn’t even have ballistic vests. Today the JCF has some beautiful new Police stations with computer systems, that should aid in the harvesting of data making information available to police officers in a quick time.
And oh wait, they are far more educated we are told.….…. largely at the.…… you guessed it, the intellectual ghetto. But where is the data to support the idea that the police of today are better than yesteryear?
Don’t get me wrong I am 100% for higher education, but police work is a lot more than just earning a liberal arts degree that has nothing to do with police work.
The sooner we divorce ourselves from the nonsensical notion that having a degree makes one an expert on everything else the better off we will be as a country.
Conceptually, it means understanding and appreciating the value that every category of worker brings to the table. I thank the guys who get out of bed really early to pick up my garbage.

Ironically, crime has grown consistently year over year, including violent murders, because the investigative capacity of the JCF though touted when there is a bust, demonstrably lack the necessary connectivity to hold cases together when they face certain liberal judges.
Now I do understand that Jamaica’s Judges are some of the worst anywhere in the world when it comes to empathy for criminals, some of my former colleagues are up in arms about the recently concluded Uchence Wilson trial which resulted in several of the co-defendants being released by Chief Justice Brian Sykes.
I share that passion, but I also urge the police to use these obstacles to do better investigations, go the extra mile to gather that one last bit of evidence to further cement the case you work hard on.
Do what you must to reach and overcome that high bar of “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

One of the reasons that as a former member of the JCF I have been diametrically opposed to Police Officers having anything to do with the University of the West Indies, (UWI), let alone receive any form of training from that institution, is the far left stance of that University.
The worldview that comes from the UWI defies common sense or reason and they damn sure do not play well in the real world. It should come as no surprise that our country still struggles mightily in literally every area of development because most of the so-called educated who run the country has been brainwashed with the same leftist dogma.
Brian Sykes is no different, and as I have said in previous articles, even though the Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, heads the Conservative Party in our country, Andrew Holness would not know Conservatism if it hits him in the face.

Commissioner of Police Antony Anderson

The Minister of National Security and the Police Commissioner was reported in one of the daily papers calling for more States of Emergencies(SOE). Commissioner Anderson argued: “So it is important that we get it. We can see every time since we’ve implemented it and it has been removed, we start to see the spike again.
The sad reality for the Jamaican people, is that they should not expect any decrease in the violence anytime soon, and if there is a lull in the killings, it certainly will not be coming from this team.
It has become repetitive to suggest that implementing states of emergencies will only scatter criminals to other areas, it does not reduce crime, it just lowers criminality in the areas where there are large amounts of bodies of security personnel.

As a former street cop, it is rather disheartening for me that 29 years after I left the JCF it appears that the department has not grown beyond the strategies it was stuck using all those years ago.….…

A Little Essay To My Christian Brothers And Sisters & My Woke Friends.…

The harm slavery has done to Black people is both immeasurable, and incalculable. There are many things that continue to plague people of African ancestry that may directly be linked to slavery, not just those of us who are descendants of enslaved Africans, but those who live on the African continent who are the descendants of Africans who lived under European occupation.
Nothing has been used to distort reality for African people than the concept of religion. Still today it is incredibly difficult to get most of our religious brothers and sisters to understand that believing in a sovereign God does not mean sitting around waiting for him/her to burst through the clouds to save us from whatever ails us.
My Pastor the Reverend Dr. Jesse Voyd Bottoms speaks to this truth that I have always believed in,” If praying is all you do, it is not enough”.

It is a fundamental principle that is borne out throughout the Bible. (Philippians 4:13)13 I can do all things through [a]Christ who strengthens me.
James 2:14 – 17, What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
You get the picture I suppose?

How then as Christians are so many of us Blacks still confounded when it comes to this issue when it comes to what we need to do to effect change here on earth and in our own communities?
Why are we still looking up into the skies in the hope that the great creator of the universe is going to burst through and sweep us up and all of our troubles will be over?
Exodus 14 v 13 – 16,13 Moses answered the people, “Don’t be afraid! Stand still, and see what the Lord will do to save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again. 14 The Lord is fighting for you! So be still!” 15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to start moving. 16 Raise your staff, stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide the water. Then the Israelites will go through the sea on dry ground.

This issue of racism is nothing new, over two thousand years ago Yeshua was crucified by the Italians, with the help of Jews who saw him as a threat to the established order.
Struggling under the weight of the cross he was forced to carry after being brutally beaten and brutalized, not a single person helped to carry the cross as Yeshua struggled with it, until of course, they saw Simon of Cyrene a black man who was passing through, he, they forced to carry the cross.
Luke 23:26 And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus.
Matthew 27:32 As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross.
Mark 15:21 And they compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.

The moral of the story is that not a single one of those Italian soldiers saw fit to help Yeshua or to force anyone else, but another black man to help the black Yeshua with the heavy piece of timber, that they had forced him to carry after beating him mercilessly.
If we as a people have learned nothing after thousands of years of these things happening to us, when are we going to learn?
If we refuse to acquaint ourselves with the realities surrounding us, and if we refuse to read anything, and if we continue to engage in the practice of prayer without works, a hundred years from now our children, grand children, and great-grandchildren, (if they survive) will be fighting these same fights that we should have ended.
If we who call ourselves Christians continue to believe that the Lord God Almighty sanctioned people owning people ‚then we deserve to continue being slaves. If we continue to be sanctimonious, sacrificial lambs to the slaughter, because we believe in the hogwash that we must humble ourselves in front of our enemies and turn the other cheek, then guaranteed we will be a sacrifice on the burning altar of stupidity.

As long as we believe that we have an obligation to continue to love our enemies, even as he uses his sword to slaughter us, then we deserve whatever else he dishes out to us.
Much has been done to use religion to prevent Black insurrection during their enslavement and to continue to keep blacks from ever getting to realizing the lies about white superiority.
I am not here to tell you what to believe, nevertheless, if you believe that the very same people whose ancestors enslaved and murdered yours, and are to this day opposed to you having the most basic of right and dignity that they summarily enjoy, are deserving of your love and devotion, then do you.
Watch and pray, that’s scriptural. All throughout the Bible the GOD of the righteous, waged war on the enemies of his people, and destroyed them.

Has that God suddenly reversed himself and requires us to surrender our lives in humble supplication and fealty to those who oppress us? If you believe that you are still a slave.
Some of you Christians are so righteous that you cannot even talk about anything but Church, you do not pay attention to your kid’s school happenings. You do not vote in school board elections, you have no idea who represents you in statehouses and in the Congress, then you complain about not voting because “nobody ain’t giving you anything.” That is the reason they dump their multi-million dollar jails in your communities without even consulting you.

That is why they build bus depots in your communities, so that your children may ingest the putrid diesel fumes, making them exponentially more susceptible to asthma and other respiratory diseases. Don’t even mention noise pollution.
When you do not vote and stay vigilant, they poison your water, they demolish your communities and build interstate highways and pay you nothing for your land. When you refuse to vote, they put police in place to brutalize and kill you, because they fear no consequence.
Why is it that you pay taxes just like everyone else, yet your children’s schools are veritable fortresses, manned by armed police ready to gun them down, no books, co computers, while a couple of miles into the suburb’s their schools are peaceful oases of tranquil learning, staffed with caring teachers and equipped with every tool needed to aid the learning process?

Do you still want to talk about not voting?
Why do you think they are going to such lengths to take that right away from you? I am speaking to you so-called woke people who sit on your rear ends and point to flaws in candidates, knit-picking any little negative you can find in them as if you are perfect, then use social media to encourage others not to vote or get involved in the process.
Who are you helping in that process, except to make yourself seem smart, when you are really demonstrating just how unlearned you are?

Yeshua himself told those who would trap him into speaking out about the Roman Government,“ Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21.
It was by far more than an attempt by Yeshua to avoid the entrapment, but a guide to Christians that they have an earthly duty to pay attention and be attuned to earthly happenings, and to be conversant of the issues that will affect our lives.
All of those people who followed Yeshua, including his disciples fundamentally believed that he would return in their lifetime.
He was crucified more than two thousand years ago.….….….. He is coming back, make no mistake about that, but there is a lot of time between God’s time and our idea of time.
And in between those two concepts of time, there is a whole lot of living and suffering left to happen.

[“I do get a sense sometimes now among certain young people, and this is accelerated by social media, there is this sense sometimes of: ‘The way of me making change is to be as judgmental as possible about other people.” “And that’s enough.” “Like, if I tweet or hashtag about how you didn’t do something right or used the wrong verb.” “Then I can sit back and feel pretty good about myself, cause, ‘Man, you see how woke I was, I called you out.’”
“That’s not activism. That’s not bringing about change”. “If all you’re doing is casting stones, you’re probably not going to get that far. That’s easy to do.”] (Barack Hussien Obama)

Soldiers Arrested In Massive Marijuana Bust

There are reports unconfirmed by us that suggest there was a shootout between a group of soldiers and police officers in Vineyard District the Parish of Saint Elizabeth.
According to the initial reporting that is still murky, Police received reports that Soldiers were traveling in Service Vehicle 9 JDF 49 with quantities of vegetable like substance resembling marijuana.
They were intercepted by members of the (JCF), the soldiers, are reported to have opened fire at the police officers.

The cops returned fire, which damaged the JDF vehicle, according to the reporting there were no casualties or facilities. The soldiers involved have reportedly been arrested.

Republicans Have Packed The Courts At All Levels, Will Democrats Fail To Protect Democracy?

YouTube player

ARE YOU SHOCKED YET AT THIS IN YOUR FACE COURT PACKING, WHILE THEY LAMENT THAT BIDEN WILL BE PACKING THE COURTS IF HE WINS?
HOW COULD BIDEN NOT IMMEDIATELY PUT FOUR (4) ASSOCIATE JUSTICES ON THE COURT TO RIGHT THE WRONG THAT HAS BEEN GORSUCH, KAVANAUGH, AND NOW AMEY CONEY BARRETT?

Here is your next supreme court justice Amey Coney Barrett.
She was asked by a Democratic Senator if there were any circumstances under which the president could delay the presidential elections?
She did a roundabout answer, that she would have to read the briefs in front of her, that she would have to consult with her law clerks, and basically conference with her colleagues.
Donald Trump wanted to set the elections back, the only problem is that he has no such power. There was an election during the civil war and Lincoln had no power to set the elections back or to cancel them.
The short answer to the question posed to the future associate justice is that a president has zero power to cancel or postpone the elections.
So there .…. What she did as a lackey for Trump was to bullshit on the answer in order to get herself on the court and to ingratiate herself with her criminal sponsor Donald Trump.

Amey Coney Barrett

Asked if it is legal for teams of poll watchers to be allowed to stand around polling places and intimidate voters wishing to cast their ballots, she refused to answer with a simple no.
These are the political hatchet wielders who are being rushed onto the highest court that will nullify the will of the American people when they vote.
Republicans have found a way to push back the will of the majority of Americans who have voted twice in the last 16-years for Democrats to be presidents and have seen their will subverted by an archaic electoral college law, in addition to the two US Senators per state rule, that places the voices of white rural voters over the tens of millions more who live in cities and suburbs.
America is for all intents and purposes, a white minority rule nation, where rural whites in small states set their agenda for the nation over the will of the tens of millions of voters who live in large states like California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and many others.
So the 578,759 people living in the entire state of Wyoming, get to cancel out the voices over thirty-nine million of the 40,000,000 people living in the state of California, or over twenty-nine million of the 30’000;000 living in New York.

So the republican strategy is to pack the courts with right-wing reactionary hatchet-wielders who will simply chop down established precedent as the court has already done with citizens united, as with Shelby county Alabama Vs Holder, as it does with stopping the census count on the demand of a criminal strongman pretending to be an American president.♠ Continue reading
