Cons Ricardo Fairclough, who is attached to the St Ann Divisional Support Unit, was shot and killed last night a short distance from the St Ann’s Bay Police Station.
The Officer was reportedly killed responding to a call of a robbery.
The police officer was reportedly alerted by the sound of gunfire; he went to investigate. The incident turned out to be a woman getting shot; on the officer’s approach, the gunman turned his weapon on the officer.
Both the officer and the injured woman were taken to the hospital. The Officer died, and the woman is reportedly in critical condition.
