Cop On Suspension Murdered Working As Security Guard

Cons. Deron M. Henry attached to the Motorised Patrol Division was fatal­ly shot about 3:25 am this morn­ing, at the Terra Nova Hotel Parking Lot in Kingston.

Reports are that Cons. Henry who was on sus­pen­sion was work­ing as a Security Guard at the afore­men­tioned hotel. The man­age­ment saw a car parked on the premis­es and alert­ed Cons. Henry.

Constable Henry went to inves­ti­gate and was fired upon by armed men from inside the vehi­cle. He sus­tained a gun­shot wound to the neck. The striken offi­cer was assist­ed to the University Hospital, where he died while under­go­ing treatment.
