Murder Spree Continues Several Dead While Police Release List Of Wanted Criminals…

This is not fiction but facts; the storyline is the same every day. January 27th, 2022 three men were shot at a bar in Bamboo Saint Ann, two fatally. It generally reads the same: gunmen enter the bar, open fire, and escape.
In Saint James, a 22-year-old man was shot dead in Mount Carey on Friday morning. At about 8:00 am, citizens heard gunshots and notified the police, who arrived to find the body of 22-year-old Ronald Barnes on the ground with bullet wounds to his head and a motorcycle partially on top of his body.
In Cross Keys Manchester, a criminal who the criminal-loving judges granted bail turned up at the Cross Keys Police station to report as a condition of his bail when officers noticed a bulge in the waist of his pants.
And attempted to accost him when he opened fire at officers.
25-year-old Orlando Lee of Blenheim district, Newport in Manchester, is still on the loose. Of course, the police are begging this piece of scum to turn himself in. (like that’s going to happen).

Thank your local magistrate or judge for continually turning these monsters back onto the streets when officers catch them redhanded with weapons and remove them back onto the streets before the officers can even leave the court buildings.
They are totally careless of who they murder, including police officers, but that seems to be the judges’ intention in our country.
I call on the police federation to compile data on the Island’s criminal-loving judges to see who the offenders are releasing these violent gangsters back onto the streets as soon as the police remove them.
The compilation of that data should include day, date, and time, the offense as well as crimes each offender provably committed after being granted bail.
This data should then be incessantly shared with ordinary Jamaicans, not the gated communities’ fakes and frauds living uptown.
Maybe then the average Jamaican may be sensitized and even militarized against the blatant and egregious criminal support in the institutions that should be protecting them.

In Saint Mary25-year-old Adrian Lawrence of School Hill Castleton was shot and killed at about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 27th, after arguing with another man known as “Ricky” over a parking spot.
In the meantime, the police released these names they say are the most wanted men in the country. I’m unsure why the names are not followed up with photographs in this day and age when every police officer on patrol has a cell phone or can carry a camera on patrol to photograph these criminals when they are stopped in the streets.
They have no expectation of privacy from being photographed in public, but the Jamican police have never been accused of thinking on their feet.

Trump’s Support Is Solely About Maintaining White Power…

I am sure that I have written an article detailing why Donald Trump has consolidated and held the segment of the population he has in his grasp. Notwithstanding, if you allow me, I will clumsily and inarticulately try to break it down for you.
Unlike the watered-down BS the mainstream media pundits give you, I will do so in a way that is unnuanced and truthful.

First, we must acknowledge that they gravitated to Donald Trump long before he announced his intentions to run for the presidency of the United States in 2016. It is also important to acknowledge that he was one of the chief architects of the birther conspiracy against Barack Obama, the first black President. He continued to make baseless claims as a provocateur throughout the eight years of Obama’s presidency, which forced Obama to release his long-form birth certificate to the media in the hope of dispelling Donald Trump’s lies.
It was a throwback of slavery days, which police do every day in America when they stop black men and demand they show Identification.
Despite being President of the United States, Barack Obama, bowed to the lies of Donald Trump a low-life con artiste and showed his papers.
Obama, a timid and trusting man, believed that that would end the lies, but he was wrong; they only brought on more lies from Trump and others who had decided that there was hay to be made for continuing with the lie that he was not born in America.

I daresay that to this day, Barack Obama has no clue how bowing to the pressure of a two-bit clown, one he would later characterize as a carnival barker, empowered him and galvanized a Fascist movement behind him.
America had been looking for a white supremacist president since Andrew Jackson, the recalibrated Republican party that constituted after the civil rights gain ofthe1960’s was in search of that white man.
No one seemed to fit the bill until Arizona US Senator Bary Goldwater came along. But Goldwater went down in crushing defeat to John F Kennedy in the 1964 Presidential elections. Despite Goldwater’s loss, many credited his life’s work for firmly establishing what they called the modern Conservative movement.
Speaking at his nomination in the 64 elections, faced with mounting criticisms and disaffection by liberal Republicans about what they viewed as his extremism, Goldwater said the following; “I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, and let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

Goldwater is also credited with helping to make possible the so-called Reagan revolution. Ronald Reagan was another many pinned their hopes on, hoping for that President that would allow white racism to thrive out in the open.
Whether or not Ronald Reagan lived up to those expectations is for others to decide. Sufficing to say that Ronald Reagan, though dead, is still held in high regard by that segment of the American population.
By the time Donald Trump came down that escalator and declared Mexicans are murderers and thieves, that segment of the population was primed to throw their support to him in defense of whiteness.

If a dog had Trump’s history and came down that escalator making the offensive statements he did, they would have supported the dog. I realized it had nothing to do with Donald Trump; he was merely a vessel to channel their anger and animosity.
How dare America twice elect a Black man to be president? They were losing what they stridently believed was theirs and theirs alone, the land they stole from the Native Americans-all of it.
And those other not-so-real people, the not white, how dare they have power? They are taking our jobs. Well, you never bothered to go to college, so there was that…
As you saw last week, Mitch McConnell’s mouth went ahead of his brain, and he gave away that he did not believe Black people were Americans. The supporters of Donald Trump shared those views as well.

It mattered not that at the 2016 debates, Trump was clearly out of his league among the group of Republican candidates; by then, his support was growing, and every wrong he did was brushed aside, every flub explained away as organic.
Regardless of the dirt opposition research turned up against him, his supporters had some silly explanation for it. By then, they were coming out of the woodwork in support of him as his statements got more racist, more xenophobic, and more bellicose against everyone, not white Anglo-Saxon.
It was exactly what they wanted to hear; by the time the tape was released of him bragging about grabbing young women by their pussies; his supporters were gleeful that their candidate was brave and strong enough to grab girls eager to win a pageant by their genitalia.

Many of those supporters were older, they claimed they had never voted before, had not gone to college, and of course, they were mostly all white.
But there was much more to this impressionable lot; many have never visited another country, some never even left the county they were born in. And, of course, what passed for their logic and reasoning left absolutely no doubt that they never attended college.
It was clear that their affinity for Donald Trump had nothing to do with his policy positions; he had none. They were drawn to the glorified con-artiste because he was that candidate they had been searching for since Barry Goldwater.
He regularized and said what they are told they could not say in a civilized society. The stench of racism he stirred up never went anywhere; it did not go away with the election of Barack Obama to the presidency; if anything, his ascendency to that office made the rancid swamp more toxic.
The divisiveness permeating America today, from the rulings on the highest court (dismantling section 4B of the 1965 voting rights act) for no good reason but that it worked too well; to the madness occurring in the congress all the way down to state legislatures and onto the streets, is a direct result of what Trump supporters see as whites losing control.

Donald Trump possesses nothing good that anyone would or should clamor to be a part of; his entire candidacy in 2016 was about using racism to gain office so that he could enrich himself and his cronies.
The older men and women in Ohio and Iowa, Michigan and Arizona, and all places in between, who claim they never voted before Trump must be believed.
Of course, they never voted, previous candidates of the Republican party were racist, but they never had the recklessness of Donald Trump. Trump does not mind destroying the country to get what he wants; he may very well get his way.

Govt Begs Banks Not To Hike Fees, As It Begs Criminals Not To Commit Crimes…

Criticisms by Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Finance Minister Nigel Clarke of the decision of Banks to increase charges on the struggling Jamaican public are a day late and a dollar short.
In fact, it demonstrates that this government, like others before, lacks the true understanding of what it takes to protect the general public from rapacious hucksters like the banks operating in our country.
Local media reported that National Commercial Bank (NCB) and Scotiabank Jamaica recently informed the public of new service charges, with increased and reinstated fees that will take effect between January and March this year.

Among the egregious abuses, the banks are charging their customers to use their own ATMs, even though they graduated customers to use the ATMs as a way of clearing up lobby traffic.
Graduating customers to use their automated services saves them money as they do not require as many tellers to service their customers.
NCB charges $30.95 for customers withdrawing from the bank’s proprietary ATMs. This service was previously free. NCB customers using non-NCB ATMs will be charged $60, while it will cost $25 to make a balance inquiry in an ATM and $500 for the use of Visa debit cards at international ATMs.
On the other hand, Scotiabank will charge its customers, with effect from February 1st, $25 to withdraw from its own ATMs and $60 from other banks’ machines, with seniors paying a reduced charge of $31. Scotiabank will also charge customers $312 to withdraw from an international ATM. (The Observer reports).

I have been following this story with some interest for some time. It is fair to recognize Fitz Jackson, People’s National Party member of parliament who has been calling on the government to do something to protect the Jamaican people from the banks for some time.
The Prime Minister urged financial institutions to be cognizant of the difficulties Jamaicans are facing, especially during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The Finance minister described the banks as tone-deaf. All well and good, but the people elected the government to protect them, not just from the rampaging gunmen wreaking terror on the nation, but from rapacious vultures like the banks charging fees to use their own ATMs.

As is the case with the violence, the government lacks the mettle to deal with the banking industry.
The continued incompetence of this administration to [legislate] has left the Jamaican people open to violent onslaughts from rampaging murderers and fleeced of the meager resources by the greedy banks.
The sitting government doesn’t need to beg or beseech the banking sector to do a damn thing. Banks operate in a country subservient to that country’s laws. The government owes the people strong laws protecting them from leeches and bloodsuckers like the banks. The government cannot continue to act like it has no tools to address this grave assault on the people as it sits on its hands while the murderers rampage, unafraid of consequences.

The administration must immediately pass laws dictating what the banks can and cannot do. If they do not like the laws, they can go elsewhere to do business.
I continue to make the case that we cannot run a county by begging when we should be legislating. Begging criminals to stop committing crimes. Begging Banks to stop increasing fees is lunacy. If the administration is unable to respond to the needs of the people, then it is time for it to go.

Senate Minority Leader Would Gladly Be Seen As A Bumbling Old Fool Rather Than A Rabid Racist.

Mitch McConnell’s Freudian slip of the tongue as he addressed voting rights may have been shocking to some who are willfully blind. Still, it is difficult to see how anyone could believe the Kentucky Senator is anything but an old undercover racist.
Speaking after Republicans, with the help of fake Democrats Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, killed passage of a new voting rights bill, McConnell said the following.
Well, the concern is misplaced. Because if you look at the statistics, African American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans”. “Ouch,” how could he let that slip? McConnell has been rather careful and deliberate with his speech his entire career, but it can be rather difficult to hold in who you are for so long.

Mitch’s slip of the tongue and his attempts to link himself to Dr. Martin Luther King’s Civil Rights campaign were both transparent and pathetic. How telling is it that as soon as a white racist is confronted with their racism, they default to having black friends or some distant association with someone black.
I have always said the efforts employed in covering up a crime are evidence of a crime.
But Mitch McConnell wasn’t done trying to convince the world what we heard from his mouth wasn’t real. Along with the later prepared faux outrage, he went on trying to convince us it was just an error.“This outrageous mischaracterization of my record as a result of leaving one word out inadvertently the other day … is deeply offensive,” he said during a press conference in Louisville Friday. “I’ve never been accused of this sort of thing before. It’s hurtful and offensive, and I think some of the critics know it’s totally nonsense.Mitch said.
“Bitch Please.”
What total bullshit, the old curmudgeon had just rallied his caucus to vote against the right of Black People to freeking vote in the year 2022.

After literally inferring that Black voters are not Americans, something white supremacists have maintained for as long as the country existed, Mitch McConnell went back to the microphone. This is where the slippery turtle that is Mitch came through, and many missed it.
Back at the microphone, he claimed he left out the word ‘almost
Again here is Mitch’s initial statement. “Well, the concern is misplaced. Because if you look at the statistics, African American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as____Americans. “Almost does not work there.
See, what Mitch attempted to do there was to play to his age; he wanted at that moment to be seen as a bumbling old man who makes mistakes, not a racist who got caught.
At that moment, the astute, ever scheming, deliberative Senate Minority leader would gladly be seen as a bumbling old fool rather than a rabid racist.
After his first attempt at correcting the record, he left the podium then returned to say the word he left out was ‘all”.
Nicely played Mitch, but that nice maneuver did not slip by me; I saw the play developing.
Nice try, though!

Chuck Schumer Announces Biden’s Supreme Court Nominee Will Be Confirmed By The Senate With ‘all Deliberate Speed’

By Oma Seddiq.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D‑NY, speaks to the media after Senate Democrats met privately with President Joe Biden, Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, on Capitol Hill in Washington AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana

  • Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Senate will move quickly to confirm a Biden Supreme Court nominee.
  • The announcement came shortly after news broke about Justice Stephen Breyer’s retirement.
  • A new Democratic-appointed justice would not change the court’s 6 – 3 conservative majority, but would keep that balance in place.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday announced that the Senate will move quickly to confirm a Supreme Court nominee to the bench after news of Justice Stephen Breyer’s forthcoming retirement broke. “President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee will receive a prompt hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee and be considered and confirmed by the full United States Senate with all deliberate speed,” Schumer said in a statement. Breyer is set to step down from the bench at the end of the court’s term this summer, according to multiple news outlets. The White House and the liberal justice are expected to formally announce his retirement as early as Thursday.

Breyer’s retirement clears the way for President Joe Biden to appoint his replacement. The news comes after progressives launched a months-long public campaign demanding that Breyer step down while the Senate is still under Democratic control. On the 2020 campaign trail, Biden vowed to put the first Black woman on the nation’s highest court. A new Democratic-appointed justice would not change the Supreme Court’s 6 – 3 conservative majority, but would keep that balance in place. Biden reacted to the news on Wednesday, saying that “there has been no announcement from Justice Breyer” and to “let him make whatever statement he’s going to make.” “I’ll be happy to talk about it later,” the president added. Breyer, 83, is the oldest member of the court and most senior member of the court’s liberal wing. A Bill Clinton appointee, Breyer has served on the bench for nearly 28 years. Schumer praised Breyer’s decades-long judicial experience, saying he “embodies the best qualities and highest ideals of American justice.” “His work and his decisions as an Associate Justice on the biggest issues of our time — including voting rights, the environment, women’s reproductive freedom, and most recently, health care and the Affordable Care Act — were hugely consequential,” Schumer continued. “America owes Justice Breyer an enormous debt of gratitude.”

Mark Golding’s Reason For Calling On Police Commissioner To Resign Baseless And Hyperbolic…

The leader of the People’s National Party Mark Golding’s call for the Commissioner of Police Antony Anderson to demit office within sixty days(60) should be seen for the deceptive poison pill that it is and nothing to be taken seriously.
Golding’s call for the Commissioner of Police to resign comes against the backdrop of the over a hundred murders committed on the Island in just the first 23 days of January.
However, Golding gave away the true motive for his poison-pill call to resign when he stated that Antony Anderson is the architect of the Government’s States of Emergencies.
Golding incorrectly stated that no other commissioner of police has ever used SOEs as a crime-fighting tool as Anderson has.

YouTube player

Mark Golding’s arguments lack merit or truth; however, it revealed that he is opposed to police doing their jobs in getting into the Garrisons and rooting out the murderers.
Golding’s argument that SOEs abrogate the rights of Jamaicans is not based on facts but political hyperbole. SOEs and ZOSOs may not be effective policing tools but to suggest that they abrogate the rights of citizens is blatant political posturing that does not help the situation.
Insisting that Anderson is the only commissioner to use SOEs as a main crime-fighting tool shows the depth of Mark Golding’s ignorance on the issue of crime. Golding continues to be stuck in the 70s, making the very same criminal rights arguments in the face of massive bloodletting when the focus ought to be on crime victims.
Mark Golding’s ignorant bellicosity reminds us why the Jamaican people summarily discarded his party in the last elections.
Without the Garrison communities, I doubt whether the PNP would have retained a single seat in the lower house today.
Every commissioner of police dating back to the 1970s has been forced to use States of Emergencies as part of their crime-fighting strategies.
It is fair to say that SOEs and ZOSOs cannot be the only tool; he would have been correct had Golding made that argument.

But the PNP has never cared about crime in Jamaica, so Mark Golding pontificating about the commissioner resigning is baseless and nonsensical based on the metrics he outlined.
The opposition leader with a mere 14 seats in the 63 ‑seat legislature would serve the Nation better by giving the names of the gangsters operating in his Arnett Gardens garrison constituency to the police.
That information would go a long way in helping the police in their fight to save Jamaica and help all Jamaicans with their most important right; the right to life
This nonsense argument of talking about rights whenever the question of Jamaica’s violent criminals comes up is worn out and tired. No one wants to hear it except Mark Golding and his acolytes in the PNP.
Jamaicans want solutions to the killings, not false equivalences.
Going after criminals using all the tools available to the government is in no way equal to abrogating the rights of citizens.

Remarkable What Intelligence And A Bulldozer Can Do …

Intelligence-based policing is still the best form of policing. A police department that does not have good intelligence assets is operating in the dark in today’s environment.
Recent weapons recovery by a specialized branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force demonstrates, at least to this former cop who thrived on intelligence supplied by trusting assets that people are still willing to provide information to cops they can trust.

AK-47 and M‑16 rifles, found along with two magazines and 60 5.56 cartridges, as the National Stadium East operation continued.
Five firearms have been seized in one day and eight since the operation commenced.

It was embarrassing to hear Fitz Bailey, one of the senior leaders of the force, speaking to the discovery of the firearms, talking about winning[back] the trust of the Jamaican people.
Despite the constant haranguing by the morons in the dance hall industry who continue to incite murder on anyone who dares give information to the police, the Jamaican people have never wavered in giving critical intelligence to officers they can [trust].
That word trust should be automatic when we speak of police officers, but far too often, some members of the force have squandered that trust, making the agency’s job exponentially more difficult.
People never wavered in giving information to officers who have earned that trust. Stationed at Mobile Reserve, I was able to get intelligence that yielded a loaded M16 Rifle in a ceiling in Greenwich Farm.
Trust provided me with live intelligence, leading me to an armed gangster who wanted me dead. Trust enabled me to remove dozens of criminals from the streets each month.

Yesterday while this operation was ongoing, I wrote an article directed to the powers that be on the Island. The article was the usual apolitical, highly critical diatribe one would expect from me.
Yes, it pains my heart to see what a few hundred little punk-clowns are allowed to do to an entire country while the leaders twiddle their thumbs.
See the article below.
https://mikebeckles.com/government-sits-on-its-ass-and-does-absolutely-nothing-to-exterminate-murderous-gangs/

At the time of publication, I had no idea that the Stadium operation was ongoing, yielding eight illegal weapons and an assortment of illegal ammunition.
In the suggestions part of my article, I laid out some strategies that I know will yield results, including the following.
(Marshall assets of the Jamaica Defense Force have a few platoons of the JDF come over the back of the mountain (speaking of back bush), and seal off any escape back up the mountain. When those assets are in place, rapidly seal off the area from mountain view avenue to the south, Rockfort to the east, and upper Mountain View Avenue to the west, then slowly and deliberately squeeze the circle toward the middle.
Once the area is sealed, police and soldiers with dogs and bulldozers tear down all unoccupied buildings. Remove all zinc fences and find the guns and the shooters, moving inch by inch).
It is rational to imagine that guns have to be hidden somewhere; why has the government not empowered the security forces to go into these underserved communities and turn up everything until the guns are all recovered?

I suggested that the security forces build out that strategy once that operation was completed. Guaranteed that strategy would reduce murders by 50% within the first three months and see a drop off of another 20% over time as the security forces take back the communities. It happened when Tivoli Gardens was annexed to Jamaica.

Tying up huge numbers of police and soldiers in communities to stand by the side of the road in supposed (ZOSOs) Zones of Special Operations and (SOEs) States of Emergencies is a retarded strategy. It is the same as applying pretty wallpaper to old rotten walls.
It allows the person papering the walls (the government) the illusory effect of doing something without actually addressing the problem. Those who defend SOESs & ZOSOs, regardless of their station, head of the army, or head of the force, no exceptions, are just as retarded and duplicitous as the government.
Go into the communities, tear down the zinc fences, and occupy the space; that is how you stop this nonsense. You cannot police the country from inside the stationhouse.

Government Sits On Its Ass And Does Absolutely Nothing To Exterminate Murderous Gangs…

I have been saying for years that the situation that produces the killings in Jamaica are not ordinary criminal activities but rather more sinister acts that destroy nation-states.
Nigeria is the most populous state in Africa, yet Government corruption and incompetence allowed Boka Haram and other criminal gangs to fester into major threats to national security.
Today Nigeria is a shell of what it could have been because criminal gangs rule entire swaths of the oil-rich nation.
In July 2010, Boko Haram’s former second-in-command, Abubakar Shekau, appeared in a video claiming the group’s leadership and threatening attacks on Western influences in Nigeria.
Later that month, Shekau issued a second statement expressing solidarity with al-Qa‘ida and threatening the United States. Under Shekau’s leadership, the group has continued to demonstrate growing operational capabilities, with increasing use of improvised explosive device (IED), vehicle-borne IED (VBIED), and female suicide attacks against a wide range of targets. In-country after country, from Venezuala to Nicaragua, from Sudan to Haiti, and from Colombia to Honduras, we have seen the evidence of what incompetent, corrupt governments accomplish, [all leftist].
They breed poverty that morphe into criminality, ending in those nations segmented into basically ungovernable enclaves.
The leadership of those nations is so inherently corrupt that they are comfortable as weak governments that have preciously little sway outside their nation’s capitals.
Providing basic services becomes the responsibility of the Gangs, and so the people’s loyalty is no longer to the government but to their [don], or Godfather.
Christopher (duddus) Coke was by far not the only [don] in Jamaica, but his reach and power over the government of both political parties speak to the depth of corruption in Jamaica.
The power he accumulated and what he got away with is one for the history books if the criminal co-conspirators at the University of the West Indies and his sycophants in the media do not romanticize the bloodshed and carnage he brought on the nation.

Richard Currie

[I] do not believe that the Maroons have a legitimate claim to autonomy in Jamaica. We are one Jamaica under God, indivisible, one people.
The Maroons are citizens of Jamaica and are subject to Jamaican law. However, the incompetence and inherent corruption of successive administrations of both political parties have allowed the nonsense of Maroon autonomy to fester to the point that we saw the Maroon leader pick up a weapon allegedly threatening law enforcement in our country.
After a confrontation with police in which Richard Currie was seen with a shotgun slung across his back, Currie bragged that he needed no permission to defend his people from the state.
That was a direct threat against the state that should have resulted in a swift response from the government that brought all maroon communities under the full control of the government.
However, a weak and immoral government has no authority to take that kind of action, so Currie and his brigands thumbed their noses at the state and are more emboldened. At the same time, the Firearms Licencing Authority conducts a ‘probe’ into how Currie came by the weapon.
It requires a few seconds to determine whether or not Richard Currie is a licensed firearms holder; that’s it. However, every government agency is corrupt, so the Jamaican people are led to believe that a probe takes months , years even.
All it takes are a few mouse clicks, but they would be forced to react to their findings if they produce a timely answer.
So they leave it alone, allowing the problem to fester into a sore that will result in some form of amputation.
https://mikebeckles.com/holness-pandered-to-criminal-rights-lobby-resulting-in-over-1600-murdered-last-year/

Who can blame Richard Currie However, Currie has seen Duddus reign of terror over 2.7 million people, which produced no consequence in Jamaica.
Since he [may] not be involved in that level of criminality, one can see how he would reason that he does not have to obey Jamaican laws.
Engaging with, and hindering the police in the lawful discharge of their duties is a criminal offense, a simple reminder for those who will argue that I am making Currie a criminal.
Whatever the thinking of the Maroons today, it is easy to understand why they would want to secede from Jamaica with its hundreds of criminal gangs committing hundreds of murders each year on the tiny Island.
Even though I’m afraid I have to disagree with Currie on Maroon Sovereignty, I empathize with his people’s desire to have autonomy over their lives, free from the two criminal gangs that run our country.
The danger is so grave that foreign journalists have done numerous documentaries on the gangs operating in our country. Yet, the Jamaican government sits on its ass and does absolutely nothing to exterminate them.
In those interviews, Gang leaders and members can clearly be identified; they brag about the killings they did, flash their weapons with pride, and brag about the different crimes they commit.
The Government does nothing!
https://mikebeckles.com/no-no-prime-minister-you-got-it-all-wrong/

From Mountain View to Mount Salem, Criminal gangs have carved up Jamaica into turfs. At the same time, the Government points to new Police Stations and young gazetted officers in stupid little costumes with more degrees than a thermometer.
The sad reality is that many of those senior commanders cannot investigate their way out of a brown paper bag and, on the issue of policing, cannot tell the difference between their heads and their asses.
No one is safe anywhere; gangs have the manpower and capability to strike anywhere, anytime, and kill anyone.
We saw how easily gangs terminated the Haitian president.
More importantly, we saw some of the alleged principals deciding to flee to Jamaica, the criminal paradise where they thought they would escape the consequences of their actions.
Why did they choose Jamaica?
They chose Jamaica because they know there is a weak and ineffectual government in Kingston. They know that Jamaica has all but become the crime capital of the entire world. That is the reason they threw in their lot with hiding out in Jamaica.

Here is how to deal with this threat to National security, beginning with Mountain View.
Marshall assets of the Jamaica Defense Force, have a few platoons of the JDF come over the back of the mountain and seal off any escape back up the mountain.
Remove all zinc feces and find the guns and the shooters, moving inch by inch.
Arrest those who decide to surrender peaceably and otherwise gladly oblige those who decide to resist.
Once this is done effectively, establish a police presence in the area, bring in social workers, and establish social programs.
Bring this approach to every nook and cranny of the Island where gangs are operating and watch Jamaica return to respectability.
There is nothing inhumane or against human rights in the government doing what it must to protect the people. The most important task the government has is to protect the population.
The government cannot continue to listen to the mongrels in Jamaicans For Justice and other criminal supporting groups in our country that have nothing to say about the innocent people who are being murdered.
We must fix our country; those who stand in the way, the enemies of Jamaica one way or another [must] be moved out of the way, regardless of what cover they use to hide under to support murderers.
The Colombian people awakened and Los Pepes was born; Jamaica may have to consider a similar recourse if the government refuses to do what it was elected to do.
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=438994877768836

Here is the thing the Government will not act on this advice, and the opposition party will scream blue murder if this common-sense approach is adopted.
Why?
Neither party wants this problem fixed; much too much is at stake monetarily in this dangerous contract killings and extortion game.
As long as the so-called dons have responsibility for providing for the needs of the poor, attention is diverted away from the failings of government. People are less inclined to pay attention to the reality that nothing is getting done.
Roads that were beautifully asphalted across the country three decades ago are now little more than dirt tracks; once beautiful neighborhoods are now reduced to gang-infested territories.
Administrations of both political parties steal from the public and are not called on to deliver for the people.
The [Dons] are the de facto rulers of Jamaica.

Motorist Alerts Soldiers To Body Dumped On Highway, Two Men Held With Gun…

Gun found in the car.

At about 10:15 pm on January 21st, a motorist driving along the North-South Highway heading into Kingston alerted JDF personnel in a service vehicle that occupants of a vehicle dumped the body of someone from the vehicle.
The JDF personnel led by a Captain intercepted a silver Nissan Sylphy reg. 0972 GR is owned by Carnegie Motors with two men aboard.

Body of the deceased dumped from the motorcar…

One suspect gave his name as Okeif Brooks, a businessman of 425 Dove Place, Innswood Village DOB, March 9, 1985.
The other suspect gave his name as Shekime Richards, tattoo artist of Featherbed Lane, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
The suspect’s Nissan motorcar was searched by police, who arrived sometime later.

The intercepted car bearing the two suspects

A Taurus revolver serial number ZXH 2100035 was found on the floor of the car in the left front passenger area, as also blood in the car.
An unidentified body of a male was also discovered about two kilometers from where the suspects were intercepted on the southbound side.

Not to worry, though, the two suspects will be out on bail sooner than you can say peter-patter. Jamaica’s judges have taken it upon themselves to grant bail to all kinds of violent gangsters, including murderers. So expect these two to be out on bail soon, if they aren’t already out.

Unaccountable Judiciary And Unresponsive Holness Government Responsible For High Levels Of Violent Crime In Jamaica

Nobody elected Jamaica’s Judges; therefore, their claim to independence is based on nothing more than a desire to be unaccountable. There is a problem; however, as long as you are paid with public dollars, you must comport yourself with the dictates of the terms of your employment.
I dare say that where that is concerned, Jamaica’s judges have been a colossal failure and an integral part of the nation’s crime pandemic.
For decades Police officers and crime victims have complained about the laxity and sense of nonchalance the Island’s judges approach dealing with violent criminals before them, except for a few.
In many cases, they are blatantly hostile and disrespectful to prosecutors and police officers while falling over themselves to be deferential to defense lawyers and their criminal clients.
Defense attorneys like KD Knight, Churchill Neita, Bert Samuels, George Soutar, and others would behave as if they were the judges without consequences or rebuke. Knight, Neita, and a few others were known to half stand with one booted leg on the seat where they ought to be sitting while addressing the judge.
I have never seen a rebuke of their behavior, but God forbid that a prosecuting attorney makes a mistake, or worse, a police officer is late regardless of the circumstance.……

The issue of Judges acting outside the scope of their authority has been well documented. Today our once beautiful and peaceful country has been reduced to one of the top murder capitals of the world with the direct assistance of judges who believe they have the authority to circumvent the will of the people and their elected officials.
The obstinacy and ignorance of many Jamaican people have allowed this practice to continue to the point that our country is now teetering on the brink of becoming a failed state.
Judges handing down suspended sentences with not a day in jail for criminals convicted of having unlicensed illegal guns and ammunition in their position. Five and seven years sentences for murder, twelve years for a double murderer with the option to receive parole in ten years.
These are failed socialist practices programmed into these misguided morons at the Norman Manley Law school and the other leftist institutions scattered around the Caribbean.

Lensley Wolfe was a judge at the gun court while I was serving. Wolfe would later go on to become chief justice. (for what that’s worth. I was an acting corporal attached to CIB at Constant Spring.
As one of the officers who was proactive in removing criminals from the streets, my schedule was exhaustive.
Back then, CIB officers’ life was exponentially different from that of uniformed officers. So my day started at the office at 7.45 am. We worked through the day until 1:00 pm; we then got a break to go home, change, and be back at work by 6:00 pm the same day. We would work from 6:00 pm through the night until 8:00 am the next day.
If you worked at CIB back then, it was almost assured that you would have one or more court cases that would necessitate your going home to shower, grab a cup of coffee and be in court after that long work shift.
One morning, having done the overnight scenario I outlined, I dashed home, took a shower, and got dressed; I had a case in the Gun court and a new one in the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court (RM)…
Be reminded that I should be heading to bed ( we were not being paid extra for this work); we did it out of love for the job.
I got to Half Way Tree, handed in the charging Information to the clerk of courts, and informed her that I had a case in the higher court that takes precedent over the RM court.
Again, all of these travels were in my private motorcar, for which I was not compensated. I arrived at the Gun Court about ten minutes after 10:00 am; the court started at ten.
I believe I arrived at the gun Court no more than five minutes after my case involving my shotta was called.

I was unaware that Lensley Wolfe had a grudge against me for what I am still in the dark to this day, and he certainly will not be speaking to anyone anytime soon…
Wolfe attacked me immediately after I walked into the courtroom; he began berating me for being late without the decency or intelligence of understanding that a frontline crime fighter will have a legitimate reason for being late that the court [must] respect.
He told me, “you missa Beckles gwan like yu a bad man but yu don’t come to my court late” on and on he went on.
(Obviously bearing a grudge against me because I was unrelenting in taking gangsters off the streets).
I could tell he felt pretty good about himself because he relished disrespecting foolish police officers who were afraid of his mouth.
When he finished running his mouth, I asked him, “are you done”? But I wasn’t done; I told him he had powers only in that courtroom, nowhere else, and that I had the power to adjourn his court, rendering him powerless. I also reminded him that my powers extended to every corner of Jamaica and twelve [12] miles out to sea. I dutifully reminded him he had no power to curtail my power.
That angered him, so he went on, “when I talk, you can go to your federation” I laughed in his face and reminded him that I had zero interest in the police Federation to fight my battles but that his stated animus against me which was on record would go a far way in my case to the Privy Council.
That shut him up fast; he never uttered another syllable outside the case I had before him. Police officers from all over the country called to congratulate me for doing what far too many were too pissed- scared to do.
The only time I saw Lensley Wolfe was at the Constant Spring Police Station, where he had shown up to renew his gun license. Yes, that is how gun licenses were renewed in the early 90s. Walking down a corridor, he saw me and immediately turned around and dashed into an office.
I never saw his ugly mug again until I left the force in 91.
https://mikebeckles.com/the-mongrel-judges-who-are-turning-mass-murderers-loose-in-jamaica/

I see police officers allowing themselves to be disrespected by these charlatans who are more respectful of the gangsters than hardworking law enforcement officers.
As a young officer then, I can attest that no judge dared be remotely disrespectful to me, and I would not be disrespectful to them. Most of these little bureaucrats have a bloated sense of importance and little recognition that the power they wield has been given to them by the people they are hurting with their actions…
I wanted to lay this question to rest because the titles, ‘mi lord” ‘&your honor,’ seem to have gone to the head of some of these clowns.
It is the responsibility of the voters to vote out politicians who refuse to act on their behalf. It is the responsibility of the voters to sweep from power those who refuse to act to protect the nation and replace them with others who commit to fixing the lax laws that allow this protracted violence in our country.
If they do not do what they committed to, vote them out until real leaders are found.
The laws in our country are a joke. They pose zero deterrent effect to would-be criminals; in addition, the Judges return the most violent criminals to the street using the archaic arguments that bail is not supposed to be used as punishment.
It is time that the people remove any government that refuses to protect them with strong laws that deter criminals.

Scatter plot of the homicide rate in Jamaica

FIXES

(1) Legislation that sets mandatory minimum sentences for violent crimes
)2) Legislation that removes from judges the discretion for sentencing for certain categories of violent crimes.
(3) Twenty-five to life with or without the possibility for parole, depending on the aggravated nature of the offense.
(4) Ten to fifteen years 10 – 15 for illegal firearm possession and one-year imprisonment for each round of ammunition found in the weapon to run consecutively with the gun charge.
(5) Restructure the Corrections department, remove the pervasive corruption that allows inmates to record music, and have cellphone interviews with TV stations.
(6) Disallow the bottom-feeding so-called Human rights agitators a seat at the table of national security policy.
(7) Turn from a national security policy geared at criminal rights to one of victims and law-abiding citizens’ rights.
(8) Voice support for the rule of law and law enforcement and stop deriding and disrespecting our police officers.
(9) Pay the officers what they are owed and increase their salaries to a livable wage
(10)
Recruit some of the retired law enforcement officers to join the fight; many guys out there have a lot more to give in service to their country.
Arrogance is doing nothing while claiming success.
Our country is drowning in blood; the government is fixing the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic as the band plays on.
The Jamaican people must demand these changes from their elected officials; let us be clear if the government fails to take up these common-sense fixes and continue to talk about ZOSOs & SOEs, they [must be voted out and replaced with others who will protect our country. I am tired of having numbers thrown at me while the county runs red with the blood of the innocent.
No data matters unless violent murders are not brought under control.

Meanwhile, On The Streets Of Jamaica

Unconfirmed reports suggest this weapon is in the hands of the criminal underworld; we have not independently confirmed whether this is so or not.

Blatant daylight robbers, totally unconcerned about police or being caught. Back in the days, when we were told the force was a dunce and stupid force, this would be a dangerous excursion for these punks.

Unattended child luckily escapes death on a busy roadway; what are the consequences to these errant parents?

Members of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime (CTOC) Investigations Branch conducted a raid in the Jarret Lane area of Mountain View Avenue, where the weapons were recovered.
Intelligence-based policing does bear real fruits.

According to local media, the police have listed two St James residents as wanted in connection with separate murders committed in the parish. They are 24-year-old Nickeelo Lewis, otherwise called ‘Keelo,’ of Lilliput in the parish, and 31-year-old Kenroy Roach, otherwise called ‘Tika,’ of Hampton district, also in the parish. The police urged both men to turn themselves in immediately. Lewis has been implicated in the murder of Chevaine Stephens, otherwise called ‘Alex,’ who was shot dead in Ocean Heights on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Meanwhile, Roach has been implicated in the murder of Jermain Brown, otherwise called ‘Trevor,’ who was killed in Hopeton district on March 6, 2021. Sadly as soon as the police lock them up, the dirty judges turn them loose to kill again and again.

Police Dogs Wrong More Than 50% Of The Time Has Become Walking Search Warrants Around The Constitution…

A study in Illinois suggests that police dogs used in stops to determine whether a vehicle has drugs or other contraband resulted in those contraband being in the vehicle only 27% of the time.
This means that 73% of the time, police alleges that the dog made a positive hit on a vehicle; citizens’ rights are being abrogated.
The dogs’ efficacy is actually worse than a coin flip which is a 50 – 50 chance.
Yet police are allowed to continue pretextual stops and work around the fourth amendment to the US constitution.
Experts concerned about this practice have had seasoned dog trainers observe videos in which police use canines to determine whether to search a vehicle, and those trainers have indicated time, and again they saw clear indications that a dog was being cued to alert.

This leaves the motorist at the mercy of these corrupt officers who, in many cases, plant drugs where there was none and ruin the lives of the people they do not like.
Writing for WashingtonPost.com on February 4th, 2019, Radley Balko wrote; narcotics-detecting dogs and their handlers aren’t very good at discerning the presence of illegal drugs. Multiple analyses of drug-dog alerts have consistently shown alarmingly high error rates — with some close to and exceeding 50 percent. In effect, some of these K‑9 units are worse than a coin flip.
Balko wrote; While dogs are indeed capable of sniffing out illicit drugs, we’ve bred into them another overriding trait: the desire to please. Even drug dogs with conscientious handlers will read their handlers’ unintentional body language and be alert accordingly. Then, many drug dogs are not alerting to drugs but their handlers’ suspicions about the presence of drugs.
Add law enforcement racial animus toward Black people into the mix, and driving on the streets becomes dangerous for people of color in America.
Police continued abuse of citizens of color in the United States is enhanced by the US Supreme Court out of touch with reality rulings that continue to give police end-runs around the US Constitution to abuse the rights of citizens of color.
In his 2019 article Radley Balko cited numerous cases where the USSupreme Court appeared unmindful of the harm police is doing to innocent Americans even in the face of mounting evidence that in most cases where dogs cue to drugs in a vehicle searches turns up nothing illegal. The court seemed incurious about important matters such as how often the certification organization fails a K‑9 team? Who determines whether the K‑9 unit passes?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/02/05/supreme-courts-alternative-facts-about-drug-sniffing-dogs/My friend told me his young son; a Medical student drove from Kentuck, where he attends school to the Hudson Valley, New York, to spend Christmas with the family.
I had an immediate panic attack; I have known the young man since he was really young. My concern was not that he would have any problems with robbers or any other criminals, but the dangers he faced from police who will use any pretext to pull over a young man of color, escalate the stop into violence which usually results in the person of color dead at the hands of police.
The US Supreme Court and lower Federal Court’s intransigence on maintaining a police state regardless of the consequences on some citizens have rendered drugs dogs a sure hit because police and the courts say they are reliable.
Balko’s article describes police dogs as a search warrant on a leash.
Police do as they please simply by calling canines and their handlers to do the end-run around the fourth amendment to the constitution. Don’t bother looking to the courts for redress; for the courts, the constitution means nothing as long as states and municipalities have the ability to seize property and illegally keep it.
It is not about law enforcement; it is about illegally stripping property from people of color and allowing police to keep those monies and valuables…
Your constitutional rights are of no consequence to the courts.

Since The Govt, Refuses To Act Law Abiding Jamaica Must Take Steps To Take Back Our Country.…

Well, over a year ago, Horace Chang told the Jamaican people quote,” you haffi give Tony a chance.” The statement was made amidst continuing escalating homicide numbers and other crimes. Horace Chang is a medical doctor who is also the national security minister.
In the same breadth, Chang is a member of parliament for one of the most dangerous crime-ridden garrisons in Saint James and the entire country.
Law-abiding Jamaicans had no choice in deciding whether ‘Tony’ deserved a chance to remain in the cushy job of Police Commissioner. The cabal that makes decisions on those matters had already given him a fresh three-year contract. He was reaffirmed to a job he is not qualified for. He was never a police officer, nor has he any training in law enforcement or law.
Antony Anderson was head of the Island’s military, a force of roughly 3’000 soldiers. The Island’s prime minister elevated him to national security adviser, a post that was a first for Jamaica and created just for him.
Despite Antony Anderson’s lack of policing bona fides, the Services Commission approved an $18 million annual salary package for him, one that exceeded the salary of any former police commissioner.
Not only did the Service Commission approve the comparatively hefty pay package for Anderson, it resisted revealing the details of the package, under the guise that there is a need for privacy, even though the Jamaican people are footing the bill.

Under pressure by media entities using the freedom of information act (FOA), the Commission caved and released the details of Anderson’s pay package.
It is important to remember that Antony Anderson is on his second contract, and his contract includes provisions for his performance to be assessed. It reaffirmed his duties as the operational commander of the force. Still, it expressly noted that he was to undertake other jobs stipulated in terms of reference and performance targets negotiated with the permanent secretary in the Ministry of National Security. Anderson must also comply with any agreed performance appraisal system the PSC requires and provide the commission, parliamentary committees, or other authorities with reports as directed.
[Performance targets], the only way Anderson can rationally continue in his job is if those targets mean he must to perform poorly. Based on whats happening in Jamaica with violent crime.
There is an inexplicable well of goodwill for Anderson, even among former members of the force and the wider society. This goodwill never existed for former police commissioners of police, and that has kept Anderson at the head of the Constabulary even as his record of performance becomes more and more abysmal.
Former members, too, have consumed the proverbial cool-aid, falling for hype and charisma, where data-driven performance was the requirement for former commissioners who came up through the ranks.

I have no animus toward Commissioner Anderson; I intend only to lay bare the facts for the Jamaican people to come to their own conclusion on this existential matter of violent crimes.
I am sure that were I given a job for which failure was not a problem and paid $18 million annually, I would do my darndest to keep that job. It is not Anderson’s fault.
His boss, Horace Chang, who studied medicine and whom a former colleague reminded me once referred to the police as glorified security guards, is reaping the same rewards of holding a job for which he has zero qualifications.
However, in Jamaica, a degree in one thing qualifies the holder for everything!
Speaking at a nonsense conference headlined From Force to Service put on by the Caribbean Policy Research Institute in partnership with the Institute of Criminal Justice and Security in September of 2018, Horace Chang said the following;
The JCF was largely designed to protect the interests of property owners, “where we trained them for six months in military drill, gave them some discipline, gave them a big pine baton and a Lee Enfield rifle, and then we complain that they shoot or beat up somebody.”
“Now we have to reorient that, retrain and restructure the force to accommodate the young professionals who are interested in law enforcement.”
This guy could easily be talking about some dogs, but he was talking about the Islands police officers..…..

Horace Chang backtracked and blamed the media in the ensuing brouhaha from the police and its rank-and-file union.
Chang told the union that the media reporting made it seem like his comments were about the current members of the JCF, as opposed to the system and structure of the force.’

In other words, Chang told them, do not believe your lying ears; believe what I tell you.
And so, we face this existential crisis of our country being the most murderous of all the countries within the Caribbean and Latin-American region, which is the most violent region on our planet. In the most violent region on Earth, Jamaica is the most violent.
As Jamaicans, we must come together to save our country in the face of the blatant abdication of duty by those elected to lead.
I continue to speak to the damage that the University of The West Indies continues to do, not just to Jamaica but to Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, and all across the Caribbean with its leftist teachings that coddle criminals.
Throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean, the same strain of leftist garbage can be found in the leaders that institution turns out to destroy the region with liberal leftist policies that aid and abets transnational criminals.
The brainwashing from that single institution now dominates all aspects of national life. This includes not just law enforcement but the kinds of laws written and passed and how they are enforced.

Our Country Is In A State Of Paralysis On Violent Crime, No One Seems To Have A Clue How To End It…

The Jamaican Government seems to be fixated in a state of dormancy on the issue of crime. The administration believes that the killers will stop killing if it says and does nothing. So it says and does nothing.
I write his article with zero empathy for the Prime Minister and the situation he finds himself in.
Let me be clear; I totally understand that the young Prime Minister would come to the job of Prime Minister with a desire to transform the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Hell, If I were in his shoes, the transformation would have been dramatically different.
The difference with my approach as opposed to his ‑is that I would transform the force, and the members would know that it was for their good and benefit, and so would the nation.
Unfortunately, Andrew Holness alienated the police in words and deeds even as he elevated INDECOM and bleeding-heart bottom feeders who claim to be human rights activists.
The sad irony with those bottom feeders is that they never have a single thing to say when innocent Jamaicans are murdered, not even when little boys have their throats slashed.
Last Year, 1,463 murders were reported to the police, who long lost the fight against violent criminals. Homicides went up in most police divisions across the Island, and if the past is prologue, this year will be even more bloody.

The Police Force needed oversight, and it had oversight. However, the introduction of a new Agency, the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, could not have been created at a worse time.
This writer warned that even though the police force was deeply corrupt and was getting even more so, tying the hands of the police was not the answer, particularly when hardened first-world criminals were being deported back to Jamaica in droves from several countries.
Not only was INDECOM untimely, but the newly minted Commissioner was also unnecessarily confrontational and antagonistic toward the police.
The antagonism coming from the Government, the human rights bottom feeders, INDECOM, along with the influx of deportees, created the perfect storm for crime to thrive on the Island.
Everyone wanted in on the act, so the judges joined the fray-releasing gun convicts back onto the streets, often with probation.
It became the norm thereafter for murder convicts to receive twelve and ten-year sentences even for committing multiple homicides.
In the madness of anti-police mele, criminals were consolidating and expanding their murderous empire all across the length and breadth of the Island.
They have supporters in Gordon House, in the highest echelons of the Island’s judiciary, and the most sophisticated communities for all intents and purposes.
Crime has become inextricably intertwined into the country’s popular culture that neither political party has a clue how to dismantle the criminal gangs.
I question whether either political party wants this cavalcade of killings to stop.

For the average Jamaican who would like peace and security, their chances of having either lies in a visa and getting the hell away because neither political party intends to take the steps necessary to end the killings.
Lobbyists for criminals parading as human rights agencies and individuals have more sway over anti-crime legislation than law-abiding Jamaicans.
It really is not hard, mandatory minimum sentences of 25 with or without the possibility of parole for murder depending on the circumstances of the case.
Caught with an illegal gun, minimum ten years imprisonment. Release the police to go after the killers unfettered and bring them in dead or alive, their choice.
Jamaica cannot continue to have a national security policy based on criminals’ rights. We need a victim-centered anti-crime strategy anything else is blowing smoke up the collective asses of the Jamaican people.
For decades dance hall was allowed to set the stage in how the public interacted with law enforcement. Police officers were labeled police boys, Babylon boys, pussyholes, and the average Jamaican were told that informers must die.
The cumulative effect of that over the last four decades or so has been a Jamaica that has very little respect for the rule of law or those who enforce the laws.
So spare me just a little sarcasm if I do not give a shit about the crocodile tears coming from that fraternity on the subject of murders in Jamaica.
Andrew Holness started with a botanist as national security minister; today, we have a medical doctor in that job and a soldier doing the work of a top cop. Those appointments should not engender any confidence in the administration to get the job done. At the very least, we need people in those positions who know want the hell it takes to get the job done.
None of that matters as much as the refusal of the JLP administration and the PNP opposition to pass laws that send a clear message that we will not tolerate any more of this shit.
Laws that remove from the dirty judges remit the ability to turn violent criminals loose as soon as they are found guilty.

Letter: Pro-gun Fayetteville Reader Asks If A Windshield Wiper Is A Deadly Threat

’ve read the current reporting regarding Jason Walker and Lt. (Jeffrey) Hash and as much detail as has been released in The Fayetteville Observer. As a gun enthusiast and a CCW permit holder who has voluntarily undergone almost 200 hours of self-paid training, I have one question. Walker was beating on a windshield with a wiper. Is this threat considered deadly?

In all of my training, there is one underlying rule immediately following the four rules of gun safety. Do not shoot an unarmed person. In order to consider shooting anyone, you must reasonably believe your own life or another’s is in immediate danger. In other words, someone attacking you with any sort of weapon, including in some cases their hands, may be considered a threat to your life.

In this still photo from a video showing the aftermath of a deadly shooting Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeffrey Hash explains to a Fayetteville police officer what happened before he shot Jason Walker to death on Bingham Road on Saturday.

Granted there will always be gray areas that hopefully are fairly investigated after a shooting event that reveals the assailant could have caused death. That may be a discussion for another time. My immediate question involves Lt. Hash and Jason Walker. As has been reported, Walker was on Lt. Hash’s hood and was beating on Hash’s windshield with a wiper blade. In my world that’s pretty violent, scary at some point, even-out-of-control on Walker’s part. But not deadly, not yet. Crazy, yes, but not deadly. If I’m to understand correctly, Hash was still inside his vehicle and had many less-lethal options to regain control of the event. As reported, Hash left his vehicle and shot Walker. At this point, Walker was not a deadly threat. Angry, acting out, verbally and/or physically abusive possibly. But not deadly. If those are the circumstances there is yet one more important question.

Why would Lt. Hash not be as responsible for the outcome as I would be? Put me in that driver’s seat, and I know I’m going to jail simply because I’m not a Law Enforcement Officer. I would be charged, have to spend thousands on defense, and probably convicted. Because at that point my life was not threatened. I would have had a lot of other options to mitigate the problem that do not involve my gun. Even if I’m not found guilty, my life will be ruined in every conceivable way. Hopefully, this horrible event will be sorted out in a transparent manner. I’ll be watching closely.

South Carolina Road Sign Changed To Display Racist Message

HONK IF YOU HATE N*GGERS,” the sign read on Saturday in Sumter, South Carolina

Police are on a search in South Carolina for the person who tampered with an electronic road sign, changing its text to display a racial slur. The text on the sign, set up in the city of Sumter, was altered to display an offensive command that included the n‑word. Sumter has a population of roughly 43,000 with a racial divide of roughly 49% Black and 44% white, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

HONK IF YOU HATE N*GGERS,” the sign read.

Video Shows Florida Police Sergeant Grabbing Fellow Officer By Her Throat

Who did not know that the new policy which demands that cops intervene to stop their criminal colleagues from assaulting civilians would run into issues like these?

A Florida police sergeant has been relieved of his supervisory responsibilities and is under investigation after he was filmed grabbing an officer by her throat, according to officials. Sunrise police shared body camera video of the Nov. 19 incident with NBC News, but the footage was muted with faces blurred, except for the sergeant’s. Police officers were arresting a “verbally and physically resistive” suspect, accused of a violent felony, when the unidentified sergeant arrived and became aggressive with him, Sunrise Police Chief Anthony W. Rosa said in a statement. The sergeant engaged in a verbal altercation with the suspect sitting inside a patrol vehicle and “escalated” the encounter, according to the chief. The police body camera footage showed the sergeant ducking his head inside the patrol vehicle to talk to the suspect and holding a can of pepper spray, though he did not deploy it. Rosa called the sergeant’s behavior “inappropriate and unprofessional” and said he “unnecessarily elevated the demeanor of the suspect.”

A concerned officer ran toward the sergeant and pulled him by the back of his duty belt, Rosa said. The video footage shows the sergeant turn around while backpedaling as he was pulled by the officer. He then momentarily places his hand at the throat of the officer and pushes her backward, until her back hits a nearby police vehicle, according to the clip and the statement from the chief. The sergeant then walks away. Rosa said the officer who pulled the sergeant was following the department’s policies and procedures that call for intervention when there’s “imminent fear of engagements escalating unnecessarily.” The police chief said he immediately relieved the sergeant of his supervisory responsibilities after hearing about the incident and ordered an internal affairs investigation that is ongoing. The sergeant involved has no contact or supervision over subordinate personnel, Rosa said. “I am very proud of the officer involved in this incident and believe that the actions taken were definitive and demonstrative of good leadership during a tense situation,” Rosa said.
He noted that Sunrise officers are expected to “de-escalate emotionally charged situations” and intervene if an officer appears to lose control or display inappropriate conduct in interacting with the public.
