After much consideration and much thought, I have decided to heed the concerns that some of you, the faithful loyalists to (chatt-a-box.com) has expressed, that we consider changing the URL of our site. A Uniform Resource Locator (URL), colloquially termed a web address, is a reference to a web resource that specifies its location on a computer network and a mechanism for retrieving it. [w]
For over a decade the URL chatt-a-box.com has served in getting our message out and has been instrumental in getting your views heard. Insofar as we have been able to bring awareness through our mutual interaction, whether it be on issues of race, policing, politics, or religion we are truly grateful. If we have helped to positively impact a single life, then the work and expense are well worth it to me. This has always been work with a vision for me, a labor of love. For a decade we have self-funded this project from our own resources. We are grateful that we are able to continue to do so.
To the degree that we have over the years been able to bring attention to topical issues, it may also have impressed upon us the need to be seen as serious as possible, not just in tone, but in optics as well. This change will facilitate easier access to the site and will hopefully enhance the seriousness of our mission. To the extent that-that mission is doable, we have decided to make access to our site as easy as possible and that our mission remains to be viewed as seriously as we intend to be taken.
And so after a decade on the world wide web, the decision to move to (Mikebeckles.com) seems to make the most sense. Visitors who use the old URL will be seamlessly guided to the site’s new URL.
